JUST HOLD ON

CHAPTER 3

"WHATTTTTT" Dan asked completely shocked.

"What were you even thinking Lexi? What the fuck?" he spat.

"I told you. I blame it on my curious ass."

"Curious ass, my ass." Beth joked and all started to laugh.

Fuck these people really know how to lighten my mood.

"I will take you." Jake said.

"We all will go actually." Nat chimed in.

"Okayy."

As we were on our way I thought about good things. I could finally see "the boss", the one who always hides. That's the only point I got.

Bad news is I might lose the job, never earn money like this, and probably work two shifts to cover for my expenses. 

"Here we are." Nat sighed.

"Babes, why are you even so tensed." Jake asked. I just stared at him and he shut his mouth.

"Go on. We will be in that café." Dan said.

Jake got down with me and gave a peck on my lips and reassured me that everything would be fine.

I went in and waited in the cafeteria shaking my legs. The HR came towards me and I automatically rose to my feet.

She gave me the boss lady in "Devil wears Prada." And right now, I don't even remember her name.

"Ms. Carter. The boss would like to meet you now. I hope you don't get into any trouble after that stunt you pulled in." she said.

"Follow me." She ordered and I could not even utter a word. I just nodded.

"Wait here."

I was standing when a girl whom I have never seen in the office approached me.

"Alexis Carter, I would like you to sign this declaration form before you meet the boss." She said

A what? I blinked at the same time when she shoved it to me.

"I will be back in 10 minutes. That is going to be more than enough for you to read it."

So, the jist of it was I am bound to not reveal who he was to anyone else I would face serious consequences.

Not a surprise at all.

"Done with it? Please sign this." She said with a smile.

I signed it and went in.

Why do I feel like I am entering a high core FBI agency? LOL.

Did I just tell LOL? Something is wrong with me.

"So Ms. Carter." came the voice from the chair turned away from the door.

I trembled.

"What excited you to see me?" he asked me slowly turned the chair.

Curiosity duh.

When he turned around, I gasped.

I just had one thought running in my head.

Oh my god.

He was so freaking hot.

"Gideon Night." He extended his hands.

Me being me, shook my hands with his and replied "Thank you."

The hell. Did I just tell thank you?
