JUST HOLD ON

CHAPTER 23

"I'm sorry." I could hear someone muffling and I tried to get up to only fall back on the something soft. 

My hand was being held by someone and I tried looking at who it was and pulled my hands from their grasp. "Get out. I don't even want to see you."

"I'm sorry Lexi. I was meaning to tell you but could not muster up the courage to do it. You were so happy and I dint wanna break the news to you."

"And when did you plan on telling me Dan?"

He hung his head low. I had held back all the urge to break down in front of him but failed terribly and cried my heart out.

Dan quickly hugged me and held me while I cried like a baby.

"We are sorry girl" Nat and Brit said at the same time.

I could easily see the anger radiating from Brit's face.

"He's gonna die." Her hands turned into fist and I let out a low chuckle.

"Oh shit." I panicked. 

"What happened?" Dan asked with concern.

"Jess" Brit and Nat muttered something under their breath and we went to take permission to leave the school during lunch hour. But only two could go so it was Dan and me.

We were in the parking lot when the bitch Verona had to make her presence.

"you are quit a whore when it comes to stealing other people's man."

I was annoyed to the core. I was already annoyed with the fact that Adrian and Fahad left me without a word and now this female can't shut her mouth.

"Just stay the fuck out of our way Verona." Dan cussed.

And she slyly walked to him and dragged her fingers down his chest. "You look so hot when you cuss."

Now I'm more than pissed. "That's it."

I pulled her hand off him and pushed her hard. All the anger I had about my so called best friend literally abandoning me and this bitch trying to hit my bestie's boyfriend vented up. I felt sad for a moment and thought of apologizing but Dan was quick enough to drag me inside the car an drove away.

We were waiting for Jess. I ran to hug her as soon as I spotted her. 

"I'm okay Lexi" she patted my back.

"You know?" she nodded. Oh so it was only I who had no fucking clue. Brilliant

"He will be back once he is ready." She assured me. I chuckled .

"Who will take care of Maa?" I asked out of concern.

"Paapa told he would and I will be staying with Emma aunt."

"Noooo" she can not stay there!

I quickly called dad. 

"Hey how are you? Should I come and get you?"

"You knew too? I hate you Dad" I cut the call.

Then I looked at Jess talking to Dan and I realized what I had done.

I called him again" Hey dad, I'm sorry I snapped."

"It is okay" he chuckled.

"Can jess stay with us?"

"Like?"

"Like forever till that ditcher comes back." I scowled.

He let out a laugh which made me smile too." Sure as long as she wants. I will even give her away as my own daughter at her wedding."

I laughed. "Thanks dad. Love you."

"Bipolar much".

"Oh shut up Dad please don't tell that even as a joke."

"Oh I'm sorry and mind your language young lady."

Oops "Sorry. See you Dad. Bye"

"So we go pack your bags and go to my place. Because you're staying with us till that asshole of your brother doesn't come back."

She squealed and hugged me. "But how will we get in. I don't have a spare key."

I smirked. "I know how to get in."

"How?" Dan asked with curiosity.

"Adrian's window is always kept unlocked, right?"

Her eyes widened.

"This is gonna be fun." Dan chirped.
