JUST HOLD ON

CHAPTER 17

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

What!!!! I stood there in shock.

"Haa look at your face. I'm just kidding." he laughed. 

"You asshole. I hate you. You can not do this on my birthday." I shouted.

"Okay okay sorry. Now a proper one."

The hell is he telling?

He stood in front of me.

"Al this is a small token and your birthday gift. It will remind you of me everyday. Even when we are not together after a year. Please promise me that you will wear this everyday and will never remove it." 

He pulled out a box and opened it. 

Tears started rolling down my cheeks thinking about how he won't be with me after a year.

He bought me a pendant with an infinity symbol with an anchor and a charm which was round in shape and had 'A' inscribed on it.  That's my favorite symbol . Oh my godddd I've got the best friend in the whole wide world.

"Yes yes" I cried. And he put the chain around my neck. Oh god this is perfect.

"This is perfect." He told and I jumped on him. "Thank you so much. Thank you thank you thank you. Love you and I love the chain. I'm never gonna remove it."

"I am delighted to hear that. I love you too Alexis."   

I got down and looked at Jerin.

"Oh I've got such cure pictures of yours."

"What you clicked pictures?"

"Yes and a boomerang of you jumping on him like a monkey." The pictures came out so well.

The sunset and the beach and us . Whoa hes got skills. 

He even took a picture of Adrian kneeling down. Haa thank God I have a picture. This will be enough to satisfy me.

Then we checked the boomerang. It was the funniest yet cutest thing I've seen.

I warned them not to post it anywhere. And then Jerin shared the picture to us and we headed to the hotel. I was holding Adrian's hand and I told him that this was the best birthday ever. 

Then we went to the hotel. And our parents all were waiting for us in the lobby.

"What took you guys so long? Come on we have to eat our dinner. "

Okay did no one see the chain?

"Excuse me guys." Everyone looked at me.

"Adrian gifted me this chain." 

"Ohhhh we know." What I looked at Adrian. 

"I showed them before I gave you."

Oh so I made a fool out of myself. Way to go Alexis. We had our dinner and came back to the hotel and started packing our bags because we had to leave for Pondichery.

We had to go there by bus. It was almost 15 hours journey. After packing we crashed the bed. I loved this birthday.

Next day we left to pondichery. The traveling was too long and boring because all were tired and no one was in a mood to talk. So I slept too hugging Beth's hand.

"Yo take your creepy hands off me." 

 I woke up to Beth pushing me away from her. "Are we here?"

"And hour more." Dad answered.

"Then why did you wake me up?" I shouted at her. She shrugged her shoulders.
