"Aulelei, baby, will you marry me?" he asked with the biggest smile on his face.

Everyone was watching me and Jojo was clapping in my arms. I couldn't stop the tears from falling and the first words of the new year were my favorite to date.

"Of course!" I said quickly, dropping to my knees with Jojo.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!" Everyone shouted as the neighborhood fireworks show started and Le kissed me.

Lisa pulled Jojo away against her will and I wrapped my arms around Le's neck before he could even place the ring on my finger. Everyone was clapping and shouting and taking pictures, Le pulled me up to my feet and placed the ring on my finger. It was shaped like a flower with a rose gold band, rose and yellow gold "leafs", with a large aquamarine stone in the middle and diamonds surrounding it. It really was stunningly beautiful, so much more than I would have imagined as an engagement ring for myself.

"I love you." he muttered, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"I love you more, so much more." I replied, getting on my toes for the little bit of distance it took me to kiss him.

"Wait, I helped him pick it out!" Jojo argued, trying to get in between us and making everyone laugh.

"Did you? Well, that means you get lots of kisses too." I told her, picking her up in my arms and thanking everything holy for matte liquid lips when I kissed all over her face.

"Are you really gonna marry us?" she asked me.

"Of course I will, nothing could make me happier." I told her, tapping her on the nose before he repeated the action on me.

"Scrunchy face." Jojo and I chorused when Le wrapped his arms around us.

All of our family quickly surrounded us again to congratulate us. There were hugs and kisses, fist bumps and inappropriate comments and all of the things that make our families special.

"Susu mai i lo matou aiga. Welcome to our family." Lisa said, kissing me on both cheeks making me cry some more.

"Faafetai, thank you." I replied, using what little I've learned from google translate.

"Son, she's a keeper." Sika said, repeating his wife's words and kissing me on both cheeks.

"Faafetai, Sika." I repeated.

"You're gonna be my sister now, I've always wanted a sister." Reyna slurred when she hugged me, having hit the alcohol table pretty hard.

"There goes our nice family moment." Sika chuckled, picking his daughter up like a ragdoll.

"I've got her, I think it's time I take her back to the room. She's gonna need a cold shower, water, and aspirin." her boyfriend, Chris, said.

"Switch out the water for a lemon or orange Gatorade and she'll be fine in no time. Make sure she drinks it before bed." I told him.
