"Daisy! What are you doing here?" Greeted Margaret, one of the senior nurses, who had known Daisy since she was a small girl.
"Hi Margaret" Daisy smiled as the two kindly embraced "I'm here to see my uncle, is he on rounds?"
Picking up her clipboard, Margaret slid her index finger down the page while humming a tune to herself, then looked up warmly "he's not on st the moment, he should be in his office dear"
Daisy made her way down the corridor, passing multiple white doors before reaching Dr Geoffrey Robinson.
Knocking gently, she waited on a response.
"Come in"
Peeking her head through the open door, Daisy happily smiled at her uncle who pulled his glasses down the tip of his nose "Daisy? Come in darling what are you doing here?"
Standing up he walked around his desk to give his niece an embrace.
"Are you here seeing someone?" He asked as he offered her a seat by his desk while he sat back down.
"You actually, I need your help"
"My help?" Geoffrey removed his glasses and folded them neatly "is everything ok?"
Daisy wanted to laugh at the question, nothing had been ok for such a long time.
"Not exactly" she confessed "I....I need to tell you something and I want you to please not react and just accept my decision"
Geoffrey looked at her with slight concern "well it seems to me you've made up your mind already, I'm not sure what I can do"
"You're my missing link, just hear me out...please"

"I really don't understand why it's so fucking hard for you to pick up the phone and call your FIANCÉE and make sure she's ok!" Olivia shrieked at Freddie who sat on the side of their bed, watching her unpack her suitcases violently "you didn't speak to me for three days, THREE DAYS!" She held three of her fingers in his face "I could be dead!"
"And alas here you are, alive, despite me not calling" Freddie replied sarcastically pushing her hand away.
Taking a step back, Olivia looked at him in disgust "are you honestly joking about my death?!"
Freddie gave a chuckle "oh trust me, there's absolutely no humour related to this conversation whatsoever"
Crossing her arms across her chest, Olivia's brows dropped "just what were you doing while I was away"
Fucking Daisy in ways your demented and controlling brain couldn't imagine
"I was working Olivia, believe it or not, you're not the only one who works"
Olivia turned to her handbag and began to rummage through it, ignoring Freddie's comment and distracted by whatever she was looking for.
Finding the mystery item, she pulled out a white plastic stick. She threw it at Freddie, who caught it in both hands. He knew what it was and refused to look down at it.
Olivia smiled while staring him in the eyes "I wanted to surprise you in person" she placed her hand on her belly "you're going to be a daddy"
Freddie felt the blood drain from his face as his heart began to ache with sharp pains. He could feel the bile rise up his throat from his stomach, as he turned the pregnancy test to show two dark blue lines.
Growing impatient at his lack of response Olivia's smile dropped "don't get too excited Fred, I'm just your wife-to-be carrying your child"
Freddie was revolted at the idea that a child would bind him to Olivia for the rest of his life. How would Daisy handle this? How would this effect his relationship with her? She was finally showing some kind of interest in a reconciliation, there was no way she would accept this.
