Despite trying to keep her thoughts focused, Daisy was being bombarded with distractions.
An unexpected visit from a close family friend Georgina Stilwell, a forty-something year old event planner and former former wife of a well known duke, had Daisy overwhelmed by her presence.
Becoming quickly irritated at the request of helping organise Bob Geldof's celebrity charity fashion show, Daisy has pulled an unimpressed facial expression at the mention of the event, which would be held in two weeks time at the Royal Albert Hall.
"Two weeks?!Georgie I have so much on my mind, I honestly can't help you" Daisy pleaded throwing her arms up dramatically.
"Nonsense! You can and will! The previous organiser had a heart attack, I need your help Daisy. You mingle with celebrities all the time, you'll cut my job in half! All I'm asking for is two weeks of your time and then you can go back to whatever it is you're wallowing about"
Daisy gave a defeated sigh and agreed.
Having no desire to be smiling at an event that she would, without a doubt, be expected to also attend, she also didn't want to be surrounded by celebrities when bigger things plagued her mind.
Sitting down with a notepad and a pen, she began to write the names of all those she had gotten to know since teaming up with Queen, under the watchful eye of Georgina, who raise an impressed brow at each name.
Automatically, she began to write "Freddie Mercury" before pausing at the last letter. Freddie's attendance would be expected at the event, not only because he was British, but he and Bob were good friends.

Georgina clapped her hands together and let out a sigh "right, so we have 20 minutes till dress rehearsal. Are you SURE Sting will be here?"
"Sorry?" Daisy asked as she looked up from her clipboard.
"STING DAISY STING! Honestly, it's like you don't even care!"
"I care Georgie, I just don't care about your obsession with Sting, I'm focused on tomorrow nights show, and yes, he will be here today AND tomorrow" Daisy's irritation over the past two weeks had managed to grow extensively with each day.
Despite Georgina organising the event entirely, Daisy was in charge of making sure all the celebrities would attend the dress rehearsal and the show, which was a head ache in its self.
Schedules, ego's and childish demands, were on the forefront, something Daisy didnt have any patience for.
Dressed in jeans, some wedge heels, a white fitted T-shirt and her hair tied in a high pony-tail, she was clearly not in any mood to be impressing anyone.
As the door opened, almost immediately Freddie walked in. His shoulders back and head high, he commanded attention from the room of staff who were busy setting up chairs, lighting and final touches.
His appearance went unnoticed by Daisy, who was still trying to finalise the alphabetical order in which everyone would be taking the stage.
As more arrived, Daisy finally glanced up and met Freddie's gaze. His unforced good looks lit him up amongst his peers. Despite being surrounded by a growing number of actors and singers, he stood out without even trying.
For a moment they both stared. Marvelling at the other despite knowing each others faces better than anyone.
Taking the first steps towards her, Freddie lit up a cigarette to calm his nerves, a gesture that made Daisy smile slightly.
"You look beautiful my darling" he said as he exhaled the smoke.
"Thank you" she replied, finding the seriousness of their conversation amusing "thank you for coming today"
