They ended up snuggling on the bed again, Brett snuggling against Eddy's neck. The voice kept bothering him for a while, gradually getting fainter.
"What kind of cake do you want?" Eddy asked, running a hand through Brett's hair.
Brett furrowed his brows.
"What do you mean?"
"For the wedding. What kind of cake do you want?"Brett looked up at him, like he couldn't understand what he was saying.
"Right we gotta have cake... I didn't think of that," Brett nodded, laying his head back down against Eddy's neck. "I don't know. What kind do you want?"Eddy leaned down to kiss the top of his head.
"You know the oreo cake we had at the café on our first date?" he asked, shivering a bit at the hot air brushing against the sensitive skin on his neck.Brett nodded, closing his eyes. He grabbed a fist of Eddy's hoodie, trying to pull himself closer to him.
"The one I had you taste. Yes, I remember.""Maybe something like that, just as a tiered cake," Eddy suggested, gently pulling Brett to be more on top of him instead of next to him. They only had a few hours, and a lot of that time was already spent on making sure Brett knew he actually did love him.
"Sound good to me, I loved that cake," Brett nodded, placing a soft kiss on the closest spot of Eddy's skin, whoch happened to be the crook of his neck.
Eddy let out a tiny sigh at the warm touch.
"I keep realizing how little I know about planning weddings," he said, running his finger softly up and down the back of Brett's neck. "I read online about it, and I keep getting stuck on what piece we should have our first dance to."Brett snorted, but smiled against Eddy's neck.
"You know damn well I can't dance. Remember when we tried to walz that time? For the video?"
Eddy shrugged, kissing the side of his head.
"We'll practice first, though."
"I'll need a million years to get it."
"Let's start now then?"Brett looked at him confused when Eddy started getting out of bed, not understanding what he meant. He grabbed his phone and found the blue Danube walz and left it to play quietly on the bedside table.
"Come on, let's do it," he said, holding out his hand towards Brett with a wide smile. "40 hours every day of practice, right?"And before Brett could even blink, Eddy had pulled him into a a dancing position. He felt Eddy's hand rest on his back.
"You did this in school too, right?" Eddy asked, looking down at him, their noses almost touching. Brett nodded, feeling a blush creep over his cheeks.
"Y... yeah, but I don't remember anything."
"You start with left foot back."Brett did as Eddy instructed, feeling rather clumsy compared to Eddy's graceful steps.
"Have you been practicing this without me?" Brett asked, smiling when he saw how red the tips of Eddy's ears became.
"May have looked it up once or twice," Eddy admitted followed by a nervous laugh.
"You dork."Brett tiptoed up to kiss Eddy before resting his head against Eddy's shoulder.
"Love you, though, despite being a dork."
He could feel Eddy wrap his arms more tightly around him as the piece ended and something random started playing instead, and instead of dancing they just kindof swayed back and forth."I love you too. I can't wait to have our first dance for real," Eddy mumbled, kissing the top of his head.
"It'll be great. If I get some more practice at least."
Eddy laughed and gently stroke his back.
"I'll practice with you. 40 hours a day.""40 hours a day," Brett echoed, closing his eyes. This was what heaven must feel like. Brett's own personal heaven, that was.
