After the evening movie on the beach, Summer found herself in tears. Couples around them were applauding & grabbing their things leaving the beach. Jay & Summer were the only ones left still sitting in their beach chairs. Jay turned to face Summer. He smiled at her & kinda chuckled at how invested she was in the movie.

Jay: You were really into that movie.
Summer: It was so beautiful & touching.
Jay: I know. I know.

Summer sat up in her chair, put her cardigan on & she noticed they were the only ones there. She was still wiping away tears from her face.

Summer: Didn't realize we were the only ones still here. Sorry.
Jay: It's ok. Take your time.

Summer looked around at the horizon. The sun was slowly setting, but they still had plenty of natural light left.

Summer: Can we take one last walk around the island before we head back to the villa? I just want to soak everything in before we leave tomorrow.
Jay: Anything you want.

Jay held his hand out for Summer to take it. She grabbed his hand & the two walked hand in hand along the shore & around some of their favorite spots on the island. They walked by the dock where they had first arrived. Summer remembered being completely annoyed with Jay that day. They passed by the cafes & restaurants where they had eaten gourmet meals. They reached the treehouse where they shared a dance & saw the beach area where Jay heroically rescued the elderly man. Jay was grateful for the memories he was able to share with Summer. More importantly, Summer was grateful for the opportunity she had to escape life & recharge on this short trip. She gained clarity & peace from it all. She still missed her dad & was ok with the fact that she would always miss him, but she knew her father wouldn't want her to be sad. He would've wanted her to live her life & to enjoy every moment & that's exactly what Jay helped her with over the past week. They arrived at the villa & got ready for bed.

Summer fluffed the pillows before getting into bed. As she was bending over, Jay's glance fell on Summer back. Her satin shorts hugged the shape of her butt nicely & as she bent over he saw more of her body. He bit his lip at the sight of her. Summer got into bed & noticed that Jay was lingering near the doorway of the room & hesitant in getting in bed.

Summer: What's wrong?
Jay: I think we should sleep separately tonight.
Summer: Okay...You sure?
Jay: It's um too much temptation.

Jay grabbed a pillow from the bed to cover his junk since he was already turned on at the sight & thought of Summer.

Summer: Goodnight then.
Jay: Goodnight, Summer.

Jay knew the couch was uncomfortable, but slept there anyways. The further away from Summer the better. At least for now. He didn't want to blow any chance he had with her. He wanted to do things the right way. Summer thought it was noble of Jay to sleep away from her especially after the intimate kiss they had the other day. She felt bad about the kiss she & Jay shared, but on the other hand realized she was probably just retaliating what Dylan & Michie did first. It was as if their actions justified it.

Back in Washington, Brian woke to find Dylan out of the apartment. He panicked & reached for his phone to call him. Just then, Dylan walked through the door.

Dylan: Goodmorning, cousin.
Brian: Are you ok?
Dylan: Are YOU ok? You look like you've just seen a ghost.
Brian: It's just that during the road trip & last night you were down in the dumps.
Dylan: Yeah, well today I'm not. I'm feeling much better & I'm ready for the grand gesture you suggested to me. Thank you, by the way.

Brian remembered the conversation he had with Serena the other night & how Serena said Summer had moved on. He was hoping it wasn't true & that whatever Dylan had in mind for he "grand gesture" would work out in his favor in winning Summer back. "I guess only time will tell", Brian thought to himself.

Brian: No problem.
Dylan: It's gonna be great.

Brian was relieved that at least Dylan was in better spirits. He could be quite emotional when it came to issues about Summer. He was still worried, but a bit hopeful. Dylan grabbed a bag & the keys to the car.

Brian: Where are you going?
Dylan: You're coming with me.
Brian: What?

Dylan tosses the keys to the Brian. Brian caught the keys, but was confused.

Dylan: You're driving me to the airport. I'll explain my plan on the way there. Come on!
