Pacing around the room, Karima didn't know how to tell Emily this. It had been hunting at her for weeks . Well over a year to be honest, but thinking about telling her had been for near months.
How was Emily going to react? This was different to everything else Karima had to reveal.
Their relationship had survived the test for so much, but Karima didn't know what could break the camel's back.
Karima got a text.
Coming home now! Excited to hear what you're going to tell me 😉
Karima sighed. Emily wasn't going to be happy about this.
Looking at the clock, she knew that Emily was going to be home very soon . She visited the hospital to see the sick children.
That in itself showed how caring Emily was. Now her heart was going to be broken.
Karima hadn't even told anyone else. Not Ali, Ash or even Carli. Emma and Cole? Not a clue.
This was eating at her heart. Now she wanted Emily to come home.
As if on cue, the door opened. As Emily started walking through the hallway and her steps got louder, so did Karima's heartbeats it felt.
The kitchen door opened. Emily's smile was quickly wiped off her face.
"Karima what the fuck is this?"
Everything has been building up to this moment.
Karima sighed. There was no where to run now.
"I've received an offer..."
