Tanzania, Africa - 15 February
Time ~ 12:50 pm

The orange-haired male watched on in awe as soldiers and officials ran around frantically to try and reach the trucks. The sound of jet engines and helicopters lifting off of the ground was all too familiar to him, but he just stood there with his hands covering his delicate ears as the continuous roar of people and machinery alike buffeted his eardrums.
"Hoseok! I suggest that you get in a chopper right now or you'll be stranded!" A female pilot called out to him, only just managing to grasp his attention through the chaos. But his feet were rooted to the ground as the inevitable stunned him. There. Was. A. Meteor.

Shaking himself back to reality, he watched as the lady ran over to him, spare helmet in-hand.
A string of curses left her lips as the last helicopter took off, and they both knew they'd have no chance in joining the soldiers on the trucks.
"We're too late! What the hell do we do now?!" She exclaimed, raising a brow as she heard an unamused chuckled from the orange-haired male next to her.
"Funny, isn't it? How they're all fighting each other just to survive. Every man for himself is not how a military works, but here we are." He said, a sense of bitterness weaved into his tone.

The pilot, Leanne, released an audible groan and grabbed Hoseok by his shoulders, taking him by surprise.
"Hoseok this is serious! We'll definitely die if we stay here!" She shouted, and Hoseok turned and pointed at a jet a few yards from them with a long, slender finger.
"Why isn't anyone taking that jet?" He questioned, puzzlement evident on his bright features. She sighed and brought a hand along her face.
"It's the broken one. Remember? The one with the dodgy engine?" She said, and Hoseok grabbed her wrist, dragging her behind him.

"W-what are you doing?" She spluttered in confusion as Hoseok started marching towards the jet.
"Well, am I a mechanic or am I a mechanic?" He said with a smug smirk, and Leanne couldn't help but roll her eyes and smile at Hoseok's bright and determined personality, despite the dire situation.

If autumn was a person, Leanne believes that Hobi would be the definition of it. His bright orange hair was the colour of leaves newly turning after summer, and it settled perfectly with his golden complexion. Just looking at him was a breath of fresh air as his smile was brighter than the beams that the sun emits on an October morning, and his eyes were so full of life that they'd brighten your day with one glance. Anyone would want to be friends with him. He was perfect.

Leanne, on the other hand, was stunning. Her body was formed out of perfect proportions, with a slightly muscular build and not a flaw in sight as her long, satin black hair draped elegantly over her shoulders and collarbones. She had a pale complexion, which contrasted greatly to her deep brown eyes and bright pink lips, giving her entire look a more vibrant feel. She was just simply beautiful.

Too bad Hoseok wasn't into girls.

Reaching for his tools in his backpack, Hoseok began working on the busted engine, Leanne not stopping him once to question his expertise. About twenty minutes later, Hobi had managed to locate and fix a few minor problems, his face brightening up as he pulled his head out of the engine compartment.
"I think she's ready! Fire it up." Hobi said, and Leanne gave him a thumbs up from the cockpit, turning on the jet engine.

The plane coughed a little before roaring to life, and Hoseok jumped up and down, fists punching the air triumphantly.
"Nice!" Leanne called with a chuckle, beckoning Hoseok to climb in quickly before any other selfish soldiers would steal his place. They used this moment to keep the mood up, trying to ignore the fact that a mass astronomical disaster was to occur in mere hours, but Hoseok believed that there was no point in living if you're not gonna have hope, and so he made it his job to spread it. The orange-haired male hopped in with a sigh of relief as they started taxiing the jet to a safer area to take off, when something suddenly caught his eye.

"Lee wait!" Hoseok called suddenly to his pilot friend, unbuckling his seatbelt with newfound urgency. Leanne turned around in confusion as Hoseok jumped up, pushing the roof entrance of the jet away to get out of the plane.
"What are you doing?! We don't have much time!" She shouted to him, knowing that getting all the way to Korea would be their best bet to avoid the greatest amount of impact. Yet still, survival would be scarce, and it was a very long way to go despite having such a fast mode of transport.

Hoseok didn't reply to her query, and so she just turned, watching with wide eyes as the orange-haired male ran to an unconscious figure lying on the ground. Hoseok had noticed a soldier, a young cadet who was lying defeated on the floor. He just couldn't help his urges to aid the young boy, knowing that he was probably only a teenager like the majority of the cadets that had been sent out there that day.
"Kid! Kid are you okay?" He panted, crouching down next to the young cadet who must have been trampled on and crushed by the stampede of panicked soldiers.

The boy stirred and groaned in pain as he lay on the floor, pushing his raven hair from his eyes as he sat up slowly with some difficulty. Hoseok watched as the boy's pupils suddenly retracted with panic, and his eyes darted around, completely ignoring the man who stood beside him.
"Kid, calm down-" Hoseok tried, but the boy looked at him straight in the eyes, panic evident in his expression.
"W-where's Jimin? Th-they left without me?!" He spluttered, trying desperately to stand but falling straight back down as he felt an excruciating pain shoot through his leg. He cried out and hissed at the pain, and Hoseok was quick to look down at his leg, gasping as he noticed his leg was twisted at an odd angle below the knee.

"Fuck, not again." The boy groaned, putting an arm over his eyes as he tried to suppress the pain.
"Y-Your knee!" Hoseok gasped, feeling a little nauseous at the young soldiers' injury. The boy noticed the colour drain from the stranger's face and sighed.
"Look away a second, will you?"

Hoseok took no hesitation in turning away as he noticed what the other was going to do, his stomach lurching as he heard a crunch and a cry of pain from the other as his dislocated knee was put back into place.
"Shit! Ugh, it's been ages since it's done that." The younger hissed in agony, taking a deep breath and calming down immediately.
"Does it.... do that a lot?" Hoseok asked, trying not to hurl mid-sentence. The boy shrugged with a nonchalant expression.

"I guess you could say that I'm used to it by now." He replied, and Hoseok couldn't help but feel utter remorse for the other. Besides, he was just a kid.
"Come on kid, we don't have long." Hoseok said with urgency as he heard Leanne call out to him in a rush once more, and so he took one of the boy's arms and held it over his shoulders for support as he lifted the other to a standing position. The younger winced at any pressure put on his leg, but knew it would heal more quickly if he used it properly. They ambled slowly towards the jet, Hoseok trying his best to hurt the other as little as possible.

Once they'd reached the jet, Leanne's once angry and anxious gaze turned softer as she noticed Hoseok lift the injured boy into the back of the jet where two seats were.
"Get in, and hurry! We've got to go." She called,  the others placing their helmets over their heads faster than humanly possible.
"Thanks." The younger male breathed hoarsely, leaning back and sighing as he allowed his body to melt into the material of the seat while the jet took off with incredible speed.

Hoseok turned to the boy, glad that he'd at least managed to save him for now.
"No problem, I'm Hoseok by the way." The orange-haired male said with a warm smile, and the other returned it with a grateful smile, his bunny teeth on display.

"I'm Jungkook."
