"Huh? What the fuck is a drath?!" Jimin questioned, the others joining in on his confusion which the scientists picked up on.
"They're a newly discovered species of heptoid; a terrifyingly powerful mutation that seems more humanoid and intelligent than the rest. They're crazy deadly." Seokjin explained, managing to instil more fear and worry into the strangers that stood before him.
"We had better get going then. Grab your weapons and meet me at the emergency exit in five." Jungkook turned and ordered to his squad, the rest of them nodding and dispersing as they ran to the RV to get weapons and equipment.

"Wait, I'll come with you." Namjoon said, jogging to Jungkook's side who couldn't help but agree. Seokjin wanted to come too, but he was forced to sit back and rest due to his leg injury as although no bone or muscle was damaged, he was bleeding heavily.
"For God's sake Joon be safe." Seokjin whined, and Namjoon turned to him and smiled, his dimples being clearly displayed on either of his cheeks.
"Don't worry Jin, I'll be back. We all will." Namjoon said, seeing as Jin was reluctant but nodded for him to leave.

"Do you have a weapon?" Jungkook asked Namjoon as the two of them ran quickly to the RV to pick up supplies. The taller male reach a hand into the pocket of his lab coat, drawing out a small hand gun and sighing to himself.
"I'm better at landing a good punch than shooting a gun, but I'm willing to give this a shot. We just need to be able to get in the van and drive away without the draths ripping it or us apart." Namjoon said, Jungkook nodding.

Jungkook grabbed his pistol and a spare from the RV, twirling them around on his hands before sliding them into his combat belt along with some extra ammo and a hand grenade just in case. After securing the RV, the two of them ran to the camp's emergency exit, the others standing there waiting for them.
"Okay, before we get out there I've got to tell you some information about the draths." Namjoon said seriously, the dark look in his narrowed eyes telling them that this wasn't gonna be good.

"Considering there's no turning back now, we're all ears." Hoseok mumbled, Namjoon nodding towards him.
"Okay, they kill you through hypnosis. Don't look at their eyes when they glow red or they can get in your heads. Secondly, they're mostly visually impaired, but their hearing is very advanced, so any movement and they can find where you are. And finally, they can make themselves look more human to convince you not to kill them. Don't let them have that advantage and just shoot." Namjoon finished, looks of fear, shock and determination surrounding him as they took in the information.

"Okay", Jungkook breathed, standing in front of the others so that they could all see him, "is everyone ready?" He asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be." Hoseok replied, the others repeating his statement as Jungkook glanced around at them. Leanne had her katana at hand, and she stood beside Hoseok who's axe was readily by his side. Yuri held a pair of twin blades and was standing close to Jimin who'd picked up a bow with a quiver of arrows from East Camp's store. Yoongi and Namjoon had pistols at hand, with Yoongi having had reluctantly told Kwan to stay with Seokjin in the medical bay until they were safely back.

Taehyung, on the other hand, was clutching tightly onto a rifle, his long thin fingers clasped over the cold metal as he anticipated what was to come.
"Are you sure you're okay to be doing this?" Jungkook asked Taehyung, the older male rolling his eyes and groaning.
"Stop worrying and let's kill some fuckers."
Jungkook didn't argue further, and after a single knowing nod to the rest of them, they began making their way out of the emergency exit, which was an underground tunnel that went from one side of the wall to the other with hatches dividing each side.

"Follow me past the nearby forest, I'll indicate to you where the van is." Namjoon said as he pushed open the hatch that lead to the outside. With a creak and a groan, the heavy iron hatch finally gave way, and they all clambered quickly out of it before following the purple-haired male. They ran around the forest, and within minutes the van came into view, the danger immediately visible.

"Holy crap..." Hoseok mumbled under his breath as they stood there, hidden within the confine of the trees. An entire cluster of the so-called 'draths' we're closing in on the van's vulnerable frame, their humanoid bodies being dragged by monstrous muscles that built up their tough grey forms. Clawed hands reached greedily forwards as misshapen heads snapped in the direction of any sound that would dare touch the huge pointed ears that protruded from the sides of their heads.

A single, void-like eye sat central on their colourless face, ready to suck in its victim with powerful hypnosis. Just the sight of them would strike fear into anyone who was unlucky enough to come across them, but the most horrifying thing about them was their mouths. Unlike the other heptoids, these creatures did not have a spike, but each long, serrated tooth that hung from its ghastly jaws was entirely infused with the same deadly poison.

"We need at least some form of a plan. I no way are we just running headfirst into... that." Yoongi grumbled, the others knowing that he was right. Instinctively they all turned to Jungkook, but the youngest was finding it hard to devise a plan. He'd never come across a single death before, and by the looks of it, neither had most of the others. The deadly creatures may have been the rarest of them all, but all humans were susceptible to their fatal poison and slicing claws, so Jungkook wasn't going to just guess now.

"Namjoon, what's the best way to fight these things?" Jungkook asked, and the scientist sighed.
"From as far away as possible so that they are unable to hypnotise you, but considering how fast they are, if they noticed us from over there they'd reach us within a minute. They can take many hits, so a direct headshot is ideal. But in the end, we just need to distract them enough to allow me to get into the van." Namjoon explained, Jungkook stressfully running a hand through his hair and turning to the rest of the squad. He smiled a little at seeing the look of preparation and determination in everyone's faces, and clutched the cold metal of his gun tightly between his fingers.

"Let's do it."
