Yoongi, of course, had fallen asleep on the sole, tattered sofa that sat in the dark and cosy lounge towards the back of the cottage. He looked so peaceful that Jimin almost didn't want to wake him, but the fact that they had warm food for the first time in days was sure to persuade the sleep away from any of them. After some shaking and gentle coaxing, Jimin had finally got the mint-haired male on a slow trail towards the kitchen, the blonde-haired male then making his way to the room that Yuri was resting in.

To his surprise, the blonde girl sat awake in bed, her dark yet contrastingly soft eyes meeting his. At the sight of her boyfriend, her face crinkled into a smile, and Jimin couldn't help but feel relieved at seeing that the warmth had returned to her cheeks.
"Jin has cooked some dinner for us, it'd be good if you could eat." Jimin said from the doorway, his girlfriend nodding and meeting him at the door.

Soon enough, all nine of the members were bunched into the small kitchen, five sitting on rickety chairs at the table and the other four sitting or leaning on the countertop. The noodles may have been plain and in small portions, but just by twirling the food on a fork and inhaling the ribbons of steam rising from the bowls was enough to warm them up inside and out. Leanne closed her eyes as she took a bite, humming out of the pleasure that the warm food presented her.

"Thanks for this, Jin." Jungkook piped up, the rest of the group nodding in satisfaction and mumbling words of thanks as they indulged themselves in the plain noodles. Jin just chuckled, taking a mouthful for himself as he soaked up the appreciation.
"It's not a problem. I always was a pretty decent cook, but I guess I'll have to make do with what we have." He said with a sigh, his words sparking an idea for Jungkook.

"I've been thinking, the abandoned shops towards the centre of the village should contain some supplies, so maybe tomorrow we can split into two groups and gather food and winter equipment. In the meantime, Jin and Namjoon can get started on their experiments." Jungkook suggested, the two scientists liking this idea as the others nodded along.

"Sounds good to me. If you could give us the sanberries we can study them further to try and work out how they reproduce. We should have enough equipment and space, and there's some nice grass out the back for growing samples." Namjoon said as he placed his fork back into the empty porcelain bowl, the light ringing sound as the metal hit the ceramic breaking the short silence that had followed them pondering over their current plan.

"Okay then," Hoseok said, clapping his hands together, "it's decided. We'll hunt for supplies tomorrow, and then go from there."
Understanding murmers filled the room, soon replaced by the clatter of dishes and silverware as they all cleared up, the cottage falling into gradual darkness as night set in. Large, pale grey clouds snuffed out the stars, the moonlight only just managing to force its way through the thick fluffy blanket as a cool chill swept through the air.

A small log burner in the lounge was their one source of heat, and as they all began to settle down, they were sure to start a fire before each of them got some rest. Lively flames danced brightly in the small fireplace, the three people sitting in the living room bathing in the warmth it gave and rubbing their hands to try and keep warm. Some fraying, cotton blankets had been retrieved from a cupboard under the stairs, everyone ensuring that they all had what they needed to keep warm, as getting ill in an apocalypse would be detrimental to their survival.

There were three bedrooms, a sofa bed in the lounge, and of course the couch for them to sleep on. Leanne had offered to take the couch, Yoongi and Hoseok following her into the lounge and moving to their respective areas. Yoongi looked down at Hoseok who was already lying in bed, shivering slightly and clinging onto the blankets between his thin fingers. With a sigh, Yoongi sucked up his courage once more, before sliding into bed next to the sunshiny male, sighing at the feeling of laying on a thin, but comforting mattress.

After a few minutes of silence, Leanne had got up from her spot on the sofa, muttering something about being too cold before leaving the room, perhaps to find more blankets. Hoseok could feel Yoongi shivering also under the thin blankets, and he shuffled closer to the smaller male and wrapped an arm around him, catching Yoongi off guard.

Hoseok was quickly pushed away when a groan erupted from the male beside him, Yoongi quickly sitting up with a frustrated expression.
"I don't get you Hoseok!" He exclaimed, making the other wince at his sudden harsh tone. Noticing that the fiery-haired male was clearly confused, Yoongi stopped tugging at his hair and put his face in his hands.
"W-what?"

"Sometimes you act like you're just being nice, sometimes you act like you like me! And I'm sorry but I like you. So what is it? Do you like me, or not?" Yoongi questioned sternly out of nowhere, and Hoseok froze, looking up at Yoongi's expression and finding it to be almost angry, but also slightly anxious, the soft light of the flames dancing on his pale, shadowed face. Feeling like he'd been put on the spot, not a single word left Hoseok's lips as his mouth hung ajar, unable to process what Yoongi was saying or come up with the correct response.

Did he like Yoongi? Yes...? He honestly wasn't sure. There was always this feeling towards the shorter male the moment he'd laid eyes on him, but is this what it was? Unknowing of his feelings as he'd never been in a relationship before, Hoseok failed to reply. He didn't want to hurt Yoongi, because he simply wasn't sure, but regretted his silence as the younger male stood up abruptly but wordlessly, his expression changing to one of dejectedness and annoyance at himself.
"Fuck this." He grumbled, turning away from Hoseok. "I'm sorry."

After his sudden confession, the mint-haired male had turned on his heels, leaving the room almost as quickly as he had entered it. Hoseok sat up, feeling both awestruck and awful.
"No no no... shit, what do I do?" Hobi muttered, conflicted, under his breath as he scrunched his hair between his fingers.

The truth was, he did like Yoongi. He really liked him at that. But with all the pressure of recent and current events, and haunting thoughts flooding his mind constantly, was a relationship really a good idea?
That's when Leanne came back into the room, having put on a hoodie with a content expression jumping at her lips. However, her smile was soon to fall flat when she saw her best friend's tormented expression, and no sight of Yoongi.

"Uh oh, what happened?"
