"I guess we should just wait for him to wake up." Hobi mumbled, leaning over the unconscious man with curiosity once he had confirmed that he was breathing. Despite his ghostly appearance, Hoseok believed that the stranger was somewhat cute. Oh come on, it wasn't often that you cane across a good-looking dude these days! The stranger's mint hair stood out in the sunlight like a sore thumb, as if it had recently been dyed, it's vibrant colour gleaming comparing to the male's pale complexion. Leanne frowned as her eyes settled over the newcomer.
"He looks very malnourished! I'll grab a can of soup from the front for when he wakes up." Leanne suggested, earning a grateful smile from her friend.

They had dragged the man into the back of their truck, laying him down on their one solitary blanket and wrapping him in it in hopes of keeping his frail body warm. Muscle loss was evident on the man's body, his clothes hanging slightly off of his bony structure, signalling the fact that he'd lost some body mass. The male was wearing police gear, but he lacked in a bulletproof vest which would have been more than helpful at these times. Hobi noticed a gun tucked away in his belt, and slipped it out, throwing it into the front of the truck. You know, just in case. You couldn't trust anyone after the apocalypse, as people grew selfish and ravenous at the sight of any resources they could potentially get their hands on.

The dog, who had since been sitting peacefully in the corner, walked over to its owner and started sniffing at his ankle. Looking down at the stranger's body once more, Hoseok's eyes widened as he noticed something, cursing himself for not noticing it before. The mint-haired male's trouser leg had slipped upwards slightly at the dog's attention, a crimson liquid now visibly dripping down his leg. Sucking in a breath, Hobi looked closer at the slightly blue-ish wound, and his biggest worry was evidently true.

He'd been stabbed with a spike.

"Fuck, Leanne! Get the sanberries from the emergency store, quick!" Hobi shouted suddenly with urgency, grasping the attention of the girl who'd only just managed to retrieve some soup from the front of the truck. Fumbling through the boxes of stuff packed behind the chairs, her fingers finally slid onto the handle of a cool box, from which she pulled out three large pink berries into her delicate hands. Knowing how serious the situation could be, the man could be slipping into a permanent coma right this second, and so she quickly stumbled round the side of the truck, can in one hand and berries in the other.

Hoseok snatched two berries from her awaiting hand, holding each between a finger and a thumb of one hand. He held them over the unconscious male's slightly parted lips, before squeezing the berries and allowing a purple fluid to ooze from inside of them and trickle down the stranger's throat. A low groan came from the male, followed by a painful coughing and choking sound. Within seconds, the man's eyes flung open, flooded with panic as he sat up maybe more quickly than he should have.

"Woah woah, take it easy!" Hobi shouted, waving his arms around in a frantic motion. Registering the pounding headache that he had just woken up with, the stranger ignored the burning sensation in his throat and cursed as he lay back down.
"Ugh, my head." He groaned, lifting a weak hand and draping it across his forehead. Hoseok watched the man's actions and sighed with relief, sitting haughtily against the edge of the back of the truck as Leanne shared in his relief.

Yet it didn't last long, as the moment the stranger registered that there were other people there, he sprung up, almost falling over at his unsteadiness as a wave of nausea took over him.
"Who the fuck are you guys?!" The male shouted with whatever energy he had. Leanne's fighting instincts were hard to deal with as she prepared to draw her katana, but refrained from doing so as she knew it would only cause more trouble.

Hobi swallowed thickly as he saw the man reach for his gun, his eyes flashing with anger as he found that it was no longer there.
"You... you took my gun! What are you?! Some rebel group just trying to steal my stuff?" He shouted, his skin getting suddenly deathly pale as he wobbled on his feet. Hoseok quickly jumped up to assist the man, taking his arm and gradually easing him onto the floor.

"Calm down for a moment, will you?! We just wanted to help you. And we're alone, just scavengers and no thieves." Hobi said, holding his hands up to show that he meant no harm.
"Yeah man, all we did was save your life." Leanne added bitterly, earning an eye roll from her friend. The man seemed to calm down a little, but his features stiffened in worry as he looked around himself.
"W-where's Kwa-"
He was cut off when the dog bounded over to him, licking his face multiple times. Hoseok chuckled a little at the sight.

"Clever dog you've got there. He's a fighter." Hobi said, not expecting to receive a glare in response.
"She. And I know, Kwan helped me to fight off a few... cynoids." The mint-haired male started, his words trailing off as he got flashbacks of the horrific incident that ended up in this mess. Hoseok frowned as he saw the man turn more vulnerable, his arms wrapping around his dog as he trembled slightly.

"Hey, it's alright. There's no aliens nearby as far as we know." Hoseok said reassuringly as the mint-haired man tried to calm his rapidly beating heart.
"Aish, I'm sorry for my outburst. Do you mind if I travel with you guys for a while? I'm a soloist and I don't like to ask for help, but looking at me I could use all the help I can get." He said with a sad chuckle, and the two other exchanged looks, before nodding with warm smiles.
"Of course. I'm Leanne by the way."
"And I'm Hoseok."
The stranger gave a small nod towards each of them, and Hoseok cocked an eyebrow.
"How about your name? You know ours." Hobi said, and the other narrowed his eyes at him.

"Give me my gun back first."
Hoseok sighed at the compromise, signalling Leanne to grab it from the front, and the mint-haired man caught it as she tossed it through the window.
"That's better. I'm Yoongi." He said in a rough voice, twirling the gun around his finger before sliding it into his waistband. After taking a moment or two to acknowledge each other's existence, they all sat together in the back, Hoseok, Leanne, Yoongi, and Kwan.
"So", Hoseok began, handing the pot of soup to Yoongi who took it gratefully, "how did you manage to survive all this time on your own?" He asked, and the mint-haired man looked up, simply just shrugging before cracking open the tin with a bit of a struggle.

"I wouldn't go looking into my past, it's a dark place. But honestly there's a lot more to me than you can see right now. First off, this dog has saved my life countless times, I won't explain why or how right now, but all I can say is she's everything to me." He mumbled, not wanting to have to go into mental health and such as he stoked Kwan's head.
"Cute and edgy. Okay, what else?" Hobi said, earning a sharp nudge from Leanne for his approach to the conversation. After glaring for a good few seconds, Yoongi finished his soup and took a deep breath.

"Second of all, I don't take shit from anyone. Not for a second. And third of all, I'm very good with a gun. I am a retired officer after all." Yoongi said, patting his pistol that he'd weaved back into his belt.
'I wouldn't get on this guy's bad side then. He's like a tiger... no, more of a feisty kitten,' Hoseok thought, a smile creeping across his lips as he got lost in his thoughts. Hobi nodded towards the newcomer with his usual welcoming smile that somehow didn't fail in softening Yoongi's features a little. Hoseok came forwards with a small bandage to cover the wound on Yoongi's leg.
"Well Yoongi", he said,

"Welcome to the squad."
