Hobi and Leanne took turns to keep watch that night after they had parked the RV so that it was hidden beneath some trees, allowing the other two to get some rest. Yoongi went and curled up on the front seat, a coat draped over his limp frame as he let his exhaustion get to him, with Kwan laying at his heels. Jungkook was streched out across the small sofa that had been formed at the back of the van, the thin material not giving much comfort, but it was certainly better than the floor. Both males slept soundly as they earned some well-deserved rest, while the other two had climbed atop the RV, and we're staring at their surroundings.

The wind weaved between the trees, singing it's eerie song as the howls and whistles reached the ears of the orange-haired male. He allowed the cold chill to abuse his skin, the cool drift of air being the only thing that would bring him back to the present moment. He wished that he was as confident, flexible, changeable and free as the wind itself, and gazed around as leaves were stripped from the surrounding trees, tumbling gracefully to the floor.

"Hey, you alright?" Leanne suddenly asked, snapping him out of his daydream as he directed his attention towards her.
"Hm? Oh... yeah. Yeah I'm fine." He mumbled, swinging his legs from the side of the RV like a child would. Leanne chuckled and sat closer to him.
"Come on, I'm your best friend! Tell me what's on your mind." She said, and Hoseok sighed and gazed up at the canopy above, stars peeking through the dense leaves every so often as the breeze pushed the thick foliage aside.

"I was thinking about how everything would have been different if the Ida collision never happened. Or if it did happen, but heptoids weren't part of the equation." Hoseok said, and Leanne hummed, plucking at her hair to remove a stray leaf that had entangled itself in it.
"I suppose we'd still be in the military. Yet I wouldn't know you as well as I do now." She said with a smile, and Hobi let out a small chuckle.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. At least I can be thankful for one thing."

Leanne jumped down from the RV with ease, beckoning Hobi to join her.
"Let's camouflage the RV now so that we don't have to worry about it in the morning. Think of it as... decorating." She suggested, throwing up a spray can of red paint to her friend who caught it instinctively.
"Decorating? I can do that." He laughed, jumping down alongside Leanne as they started painting along the sides of the RV.

Leanne went and took the number plates off with Hoseok's axe, hacking at the screws because the number plate gave an indication of which camp the vehicle belonged to. When she came back round to the side that Hobi was standing at, she smirked as she noticed the orange-haired male staring through the front passenger window of the van. She leant against the RV and raised an eyebrow, the same smirk still clinging to her lips.

"Who ya staring at?" She said tauntingly, laughing as Hobi practically jumped out of his skin at her sudden appearance.
"S-staring?! M-me? No no of course not. Why would you say that? I was... um... looking at my reflection in the window! Yeah." Hoseok blurted, turning around to face her and putting on the best poker face he could. Leanne just tsked and shook her head.
"Blush blush blush." She teased, indicating to the light pink colour that had decided to settle over Hoseok's soft cheeks. He groaned and glared at her.

"He's cute, okay?!" Hobi whined, and Leanne laughed at her friend who was clearly having a hard time keeping his eyes off of the unsuspecting mint-haired male.
"Come to think of it, he is." Leanne said with a cheeky smile, and Hoseok frowned.
"Hey! Back off." He growled, and Leanne just shook her head and laughed again, her black hair swaying behind her.
"I was joking Hopie. You know I have the least interest humanly possible in a relationship." She said, and Hoseok chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.
"Yeah, Sorry." He laughed.

They had just finished camouflaging the RV, when Hoseok suddenly made an inhuman sound as if he'd just discovered something exciting.
"What is it?" Leanne asked, trying hard not to laugh at the other who's expression had lit up.
"Lee, I know what we should do! We need to focus on finding a way to find sanberries, or even discover a way to farm them." Hoseok said, and Leanne sighed and shook her head.

"Hobi, we know that's practically impossible. How are a few outcasts like us gonna find a solution to all of this?" She mumbled, and Hobi rolled his eyes and walked over to her.
"No, you don't understand. I overheard the gang that attacked Jungkook talking, mentioning something about this crazy scientist duo that are travelling from a far place to east camp with supplies and research. Maybe we could go and find them, and offer our assistance? That might get all of us somewhere." Hoseok suggested, and Leanne thought for a second, before snapping her fingers.

"You're a genius Hobi! But this is gonna be tricky, especially travelling there in the first place. Let's discuss it with the others in the morning, okay?" She suggested, and Hoseok smiled and nodded eagerly.
"Okay then. My turn to keep watch, you go get some rest." Hobi said, and she smiled and nodded.
"Okay, as per usual if you see anything just holler." Leanne said, and Hoseok nodded, clambering back up into the top of the RV via the bonnet.

Looking up, the night was a special kind of blackness, the kind that wants only to hold the stars and help them to shine all the brighter. It was a warm black that hugged you no matter what, and within it's safety Hoseok was able to bring himself to the present moment and find a sense of hope. He decided that it should be his job to keep the morale up in their newly formed squad, knowing that he would always have enough positivity to share in these hard times. Yes, the night was dangerous, perhaps more so than the daytime, but it allowed you to hide in its dark blanket, shielding the negative things from view as it wrapped up each day.

Hoseok dragged his eyes from the sky, and stared at the shadowed trees that surrounded the RV. He sighed, drawing his axe from his back and holding it close to him, just incase.

This was the start of a whole new journey.
