As they finally located the food hall and stepped inside, they were greeted with warmth, light, and the fresh smell of bread. South camp was quite a serious and enclosed camp, with some quite ruthless people running it, but they still managed to import decent food into the small food hall. Yoongi gazed around himself, fixing his eyes on the wooden beams that covered the roof like a spider's web. There weren't many people there, just a couple of groups of people dotted around, but in Hoseok's eyes none of them looked particularly friendly.

Grabbing a warm plate from the side, they made their way to the counter, serving themselves up with a nice helping of carrots, potato and bread. Yoongi's mouth watered at the sight of food, having only eaten a can of cold soup in the past three days. After all, all food that he generally found would go straight to Kwan, who never once left his side.

They sat down on one of the smaller tables that was set in the corner of the hall, and not one of them felt the need to use common manners at this point as all three of them picked up their food and ate it hungrily, without the use of utensils. Plain food had never tasted so good as it fought the hunger that they battled daily. Kwan sat patiently by Yoongi's feet, and the mint-haired man picked up his small chunk of bread with intentions of giving it to her, when a hand grabbed his wrist to prevent him from doing so.

"No Yoongi, you need to eat. She can have mine." Hobi's said with a warm smile, quickly taking his own bread from his plate and handing it to the dog, who's tail wagged more at the sight of food. Yoongi looked down at his plate and mumbled a quick thanks with a somewhat puzzled expression in response to his kind gesture, but Hoseok didn't mind his bluntness, he was just glad that Yoongi hadn't disagreed. Knowing their place, they finished eating quickly, and decided to see if any of the small shacks were free to stay the night in, as that's where visitors would usually be able to stay.

As they left the warmth of the food hall and stepped out into the night's darkness, all three of them shivered simultaneously as temperatures dropped.
"I spoke to someone a minute ago, and they said that there's a couple of free shacks in this direction." Leanne said, leading the group forwards as she wrapped her thin arms around her frame in a desperate attempt to keep warm. Hobi and Yoongi nodded as they followed her alone the stone pathways, glancing at their surroundings. The wooden buildings look so eerie in the blackness of the night, their jagged wooden frames looming high above them as they ambled in the direction of the small shacks.

Turning a corner, they almost bumped into a group of men who were walking in the opposite direction. The tall and rough looking guy who led them glared at Leanne and the others as they pushed their way past, followed by three other, strong looking men. A couple of them gave shocked and questioning looks in the direction of Kwan, probably because dogs were thought to have no longer existed, or at least be extremely rare, but none of them mentioned anything.

"Jeez, what's their problem." Leanne muttered under her breath, just loud enough for Yoongi to hear, who shrugged and scowled a little. Hobi's eyes quickly traveled over the stranger's with curiosity, but time almost seemed to come to a standstill as he noticed a raven-haired boy who stood between them. He was the youngest of the group, it seemed, and his dark hair covered his eyes as he held his head low, preventing Hoseok from seeing any more of his features.

"Hobi, you coming?" Leanne huffed, placing her hands on her hips as she turned to the orange-haired male that had stood still. Hoseok furrowed his eyebrows, not turning around.
"Is something wrong? Because it's bloody freezing and I'd like to make a move." Yoongi grumbled, and Hoseok sighed and turned around slowly.
"Yeah... I just thought I saw... never mind." He mumbled, jogging to catch up with the others who were a few paces ahead.

Once they'd reached the shacks they found two available, and decided to split between them, allowing Yoongi to have his own room to himself. Well, he also had Kwan of course. They made their way quickly inside, locking the doors behind them and immediately turning the lighting and heating on. Hoseok sighed in pleasure as the cold room began to warm up, his muscles aching from their last few days of travelling around to far away areas. Both him and Leanne collapsed on the double bed simultaneously, their lidded eyes already threatening to fall shut.

"Finally, a bed. It's been at least a week since we've slept on one of these." Hobi groaned, earning a hum and a chuckle from the girl that lay next to him.
"I know right. Let's get to sleep quickly." She yawned, Hobi not hesitating to agree as he turned over to the other side of the bed, giving his friend her space.

"Hey Leanne?" He mumbled, his pupils dilating as Leanne flicked the lights off and plunged them into darkness.
"Mmhmm?"
"Thankyou for travelling with me all this time. Two years since everything changed, and you're still the best friend I've ever known." He said sincerely, and Leanne turned to him with a smile.
"Of course Hobi, I could never leave you. I enjoy fighting by your side. Besides, you're not as stupid as most of the people I've met." She said with a tired laugh, and Hobi grinned. Within seconds of their little conversation, the two of them were both asleep, the warmth of the thin sheets and the pressure of a mattress beneath their backs not failing to comfort them.

Hoseok woke up as the sun penetrated through the cracks of the rickety wooden door in front of them, rendering him awake as he yawned and stretched. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he noticed that Leanne was already awake, coming back into the main room from a small wash-room to the side. Having washed herself using the small basin present, she care in with a smile, feeling refreshed and ready for the day.
"Morning." Hobi said in a hoarse voice, squinting as she flicked on the lights and chuckled at him.

"Morning Hobi. There's some warm water in the basin when you're ready for it." She said, and Hoseok lifted a tired hand, giving her a thumbs up thankfully.
"Do you reckon Yoongi's awake?" She asked, and Hoseok should his head as he clambered out of bed.
"I wouldn't expect so, we should just leave him be." He suggested, earning a nod of understanding as he went to go and freshen up.

When he came out of the washroom, he immediately grabbed his shoes and made his way for the door, not forgetting to turn to Leanne before he left.
"Lee, I'm going to go and see if they have any sanberries or useful resources that we can take. Make sure Yoongi's awake and meet me at the food hall in ten." He said, and Leanne jumped up, making sure to grab her Katana as she gathered the few things that she had with her.
"Sure can do, see you in a bit."

With that, Hoseok left the shack and into the crisp morning air. A cool breeze flowed through his clothes, making him shiver slightly as it irritated his skin, yet the sun didn't fail to shine brightly along the horizon. Allowing the air to fill his lungs, he began his search for any store that he may be able to get sanberries or ammo from. As a camp, they had to have some berries just in case of emergency, but they were always locked away somewhere safe and secure, and asking for some might prove difficult in a busy camp like this one.

Many people questioned why camps and bases didn't just make a sanberry farm of their own for a constant supply, but the response to this would be that it was just simply impossible. The plants reproduced scarcely by a form of supernatural cloning, meaning that no seeds could be gathered, and therefore they had to be scavenged for rather than farmed. Humans just supposed that they were lucky that sanberries stayed fresh as long as they were kept cool.

After wandering around like a stray puppy, his eyes lit up as they found a building that might be of use. The medical bay was a relatively small, white building that stood off to the east of the camp. He made his way quickly over to it in hopes that he may be able to get his hands on what he needed. As money was not even a thing anymore, items were often sold by a form of trade, and he hoped that an old pistol that he had to hand would suffice.

The large white doors that formed the entrance of the building proved difficult to open, but with some perseverance Hobi was able to open them, cringing as they squeaked and gave way. Walking in, he found that there was absolutely nobody there, and he furrowed his eyebrows as he made his way over to the solitary desk that sat in front of him. Just before he could turn to leave, a strange sound caught his attention. There was the shouting of angry men, and what seemed like a struggle from outside as voices were raised in intimidating manners. Hobi froze in his spot as he noticed something.

They were coming in his direction.
