Yuri and Jimin had both taken refuge in the downstairs room that Yuri was originally resting in, cuddled up under the sheets to try and minimalise the biting cold from reaching their skin. Namjoon and Jin had immediately thrown dibs on the biggest room upstairs, making the excuse that it had room for them to set up some equipment, but it's not like the others cared anyway, a bed is a bed. Jin has also been sure to set up a medical room in a spare, empty room but his and Namjoon's bedroom, throwing all of the medical equipment they had in it and dusting off a camping bed to keep in there.

Finally, Taehyung and Jungkook shared the room at the top of the stairs, the two of them having discovered something that made the room all the better. If you were to lean out of the window, there was a small, flat area of roof just under the windowsill which, if they were careful enough, would allow them to climb onto the roof. When they got in there and put down their stuff, Jungkook made quick work of re-dressing the bandage on Taehyung's back as instructed by Jin, before the two of them put on some fresh clothes and walked up to the old window. Ignoring the fact that the cottage roof looked as if it could cave in any second, the two took the opportunity to clamber out and into the inky darkness, the cold not bothering them as they sat side by side and took in the dark landscape that surrounded them.

"Woah." Taehyung breathed as the clouds blocking the moon gradually gave way, letting its silky light spew onto the ground, illuminating the village in an eerie glow. It's bright, full silver disk sat proudly between the clouds, looking almost supernatural as Taehyung could have sworn it was the brightest moon he's ever seen. Jungkook just bathed in its light, the harsh yet diluted beams bringing a certain softness to his features while he gazed up at the starless sky. Taehyung couldn't help but study the younger a little, eyes trailing from the shimmer in his raven hair to the deep, doe eyes that held galaxies in them alone.

"You're staring."
The statement and a chuckle from the younger caused Taehyung to quickly look away, cheeks slightly flushed as Jungkook giggled beside him.

Man, even his giggle was cute.

Rolling his eyes, Taehyung tried to play it off, but that didn't stop it from being Jungkook's turn to stare a little. It was only now that the youngest realised how truly beautiful Taehyung was. The older was undoubtedly handsome, of course anyone could see that, but he also had a softness and prettiness to him, a symmetry to his features that couldn't be compared to. He honestly wondered how he hadn't noticed it before. The older male's features were otherworldly, his tanned skin in the moonlight making him look all the more ethereal. From his soft cupid's bow and taunting smirk to his almond eyes and stern gaze, Jungkook couldn't find one flaw even if he really, really tried.

Jungkook smiled softly, feeling that now was a good time to start up a conversation about each other. He sighed, placing his hands on the tiles either side of him, looking down at his legs that dangled over the sloping rooftop.
"I can see you being a firefighter."
Taehyung turned to face Jungkook at the random statement, raising an eyebrow.
"Is that so? Why? Is it because of my dashing good looks?" Taehyung joked, Jungkook rolling his eyes and scoffing.

"Nah, it was more your arrogance and sternness that really stood out." Jungkook teased, smirking as Taehyung's smug smile turn into a scowl, paired with a familiar glare.
"Ugh, I don't know why I even bother talking to you." Taehyung grumbled, faking being mad by crossing his arms and turning away from Jungkook, who was still chuckling to himself.
"Come on Tae, I was joking. It's because you're selfless and strong, obviously." Jungkook added quickly, Taehyung pretending to be slightly more interested as he turned half the way back to face Jungkook, raising an eyebrow suggestively as he side-eyed him.

"Mmhmm, what else?" He pushed, Jungkook putting his hands on Tae's shoulders, finding the older's pettiness amusing as he turned him back around.
"And maybe, just maybe, your looks just add to it all. It's a bonus." Jungkook said with a smile, and with Taehyung satisfied with his response, the older unwound his arms from him chest and brought a hand to rest on Jungkook's knee.

"Good, because I was this close to pushing you off this roof." Taehyung said with mock-seriousness, bringing his thumb and index finger millimetres apart in front of Jungkook's face for emphasis. The younger's just rolled his eyes with a smile and pushed Tae's hand away from his face, the two of them laughing a little.

That's when they heard an outside door slam, eyes snapping to the grass behind the cottage as they watched a small male leave out of the back door with urgency. He seemed to walk a few steps outside, before slumping down on the grass, putting his head in his hands.
"Yoongi?" Jungkook questioned silently with a frown, Taehyung nodding from beside him, mirroring the younger's concerned expression.
"Wanna bet that him and Mr Sunshine had an argument?" Taehyung mumbled, Jungkook sighing and fidgeting in his seat.

"What if something's wrong? We should go down there and talk to him." Jungkook said, beginning to move from his position when a hand across his chest and a disapproving shake of the head from the older stopped him in his tracks.

"No, don't. You know what Yoongi is like. He clearly wants to be alone if he's made the effort to come out into the cold. Let's just stay here and watch over him to make sure that there aren't any threats, but let's not get involved right now." Taehyung said, Jungkook being mildly impressed at how wise the unpredictable male sounded.
"Okay, you're right." Jungkook breathed out, leaning into Taehyung and frowning as he felt the older shiver a little.

"You cold?" Jungkook asked, Taehyung letting out a breathy chuckle and nodding in response to Jungkook's query.
"Yeah. I honestly didn't even start thinking about the cold until just then. But I don't mind, I don't wanna go inside just yet." He replied, wrapping his arms around his shivering form as Jungkook sat up and snapped his fingers.

"Wait here, I'll be right back." Jungkook said, before sliding down the sloping roof and onto the flat area with quick succession, not leaving any chance for Taehyung to ask him what he was doing. Seconds later, the ravenette appeared again, a blanket in hand as he clambered back up to Taehyung and sat beside him once more. Shuffling closer to the older and leaning forwards, he held out the blanket with a smile,

Before draping it over the both of them.
