//Rivals//
Magdadalawang linggo ko ng kasama lagi kumain si Aaron at Light. Minsan kasama namin sina Kylie at Korina, pero madalas, hindi. Tingin ko nga e sinasadya nilang hindi sumama samin para lang asarin ako.
At etong dalawa namang kasama ko, e hindi nag-uusap. Ako lang lagi ang kinakausap. Hindi ko talaga alam kung anong problema nila sa isa't-isa.
Hindi ko naman ma-timing na kausapin at tanungin sila tungkol sa issue nila sa isa't-isa. And it's not like madali yun gawin. I don't want them to see me as a nosy friend. I really am concerned kaya gusto ko silang makausap.
Kaya lang sa tuwing bubuksan ko na yung topic, isa sa kanila yung iiwas. Its like they're keeping something from me. And I hate it. I hate being alone in the dark. Ayokong manghula ng mga posibleng dahilan bakit sila umiiwas sa tuwing tatanungin ko na sila.
So set a date kung kelan ko sila kakausapin.
Nang makaupo ako sa tapat nila ay agad kong inopen ang topic. "Hey, ano kase, Kyle and Korina and me, planned on watching a movie on Saturday. And.. I'm kind of inviting you.."
Tumawa naman agad si Aaron. Even Light couldn't hide his smile. "Kind of?" Natatawang tanong ni Aaron.
Umirap ako. "Hindi naman kasi talaga kayo invited. Pinilit lang nila akong i-invite kayo!"
Okay, this is not a lie. We really are watching a movie this Saturday and they really pushed me into inviting these two guys. I just didn't say that I'll be interrogating them.
"Of course, I will be there." Light winked.
"Expect me to be there too." Aaron smiled.
I narrowed my eyes at them. "Don't you dare not show up!"
Banta ko bago tumayo at umalis. Hindi na rin naman sila nabibigla pag ginagawa ko yun. Madalas kasi talaga akong magwalk out. At wala rin naman silang magagawa.

Saturday.
Of course, Kylie and Korina know my plans. Sa bahay sila natulog para sabay-sabay na kaming magpunta sa mall. Of course, isa sakanila ang magdadrive, cause I can't.
I already texted Light and Aaron na magkita na lang somewhere sa mall. They both agreed so, no problemo.
"Sa tingin mo ba, aamin sila?" Korina asked. She's also the one who's driving.
"What?"
"I mean, sa tingin mo you can dig deeper on their issues with each other?" She cleared.
"Hindi." I honestly replied. "Actually, I don't expect them to tell me the truth when I ask them." I sighed. "I just hope they'll want to tell me the truth."
"Do you think, Ian's involved to what's happening?" Kylie curiously added.
I bit my lip. "I'm afraid so."
Nakarating kami ng mall na yun ang huling pinag-usapan. I think, they're thinking about the issue. Minsan lang sila magseryoso and when they do, I know they're feeling that something's off.
"Hey." Tawag ni Light. Nagulat naman ako at magkasama sila ni Aaron.
I wave my hand. "Hi." I looked at Kylie and Korina. "Let's go?" Tumango naman sila.
Light insisted to pay for all of us. Um-oo na lang ako kaagad dahil alam kong kapag humindi ako eh magpupumilit parin siya. Guys and their egos.
The movie went surprisingly fast. Natapos ito agad at napagpasyahan naming kumain. Nagpaalam naman sina Kylie and Korina na may pupuntahan pa sila. And of course, they're taking the car. They're very sure one of these guys will offer to take me home.
I quietly sip my drink. Not knowing what to ask first. Ngayon ko lang narealize na kinakabahan pala ako.
"Ask away." I looked up at Light. He's eyeing me hard. Like he knows I planned this all. "I can read you easily, Mikki."
HE REALLY KNEW. Damn, Castro.
I bit my lip. I really don't know what to ask first. So, I chose the safest one. "What's up with the both of you?"
"I'm fine-"
I glared at Aaron. "You know what I'm asking, Aaron. Answer me honestly."
Nag-iwas naman agad siya ng tingin.
"We're not in good terms, Mikki." Light calmly said. He's still this hard look in his eyes. Like he's not going to back down whatever I say or ask.
I cock my eyebrow. "I can see that. I meant, why."
Aaron continued to ignore the question. "Cause we're rivals." Light simply said.
My forehead immediately creased. "Rivals?"
He rolled his eyes like he just stated an obvious answer and I'm too dumb to realize what it is. "What do rivals do?"
"Compete?"
He nodded. "We're competing for your heart, Mikki."
I immediately blushed. I know, that's not the answer. But like I said, I'm not expecting them to answer it honestly.
"What an answer, Castro."
"It's an obvious answer, Dela Rosa." He crossed his arms on his chest. "Anyone might have answered it for you." Lie. Okay. It wasn' probably a lie but it wasn't the truth either.
I know that's not the answer.
But I will get the answer.
He has forgotten who I am.
Whatever I want, I will get it. By any method.
