"Mommy where are we going? Ith Daddy going with uth today?" Nio was out early and Syn grabbed the chance to bond with him. "He's out of town, honey but he will try to"

"Tho dad'th not coming? He doethn't come whenever he thayth that."

Syn did not know what to say, it is hard to have a brilliant kid for a child. "But Tito Darius will come with us, don't worry."

"Yeth! Mom I want him to be my daddy number three, can you make him?" Nio sounded so sure, so firm and powerful that it could make anybody oblige—just like his mom. Meanwhile, Synthia burst into giggles to hear Nio said that. Sure Darius is handsome, hot and all but she had enough mistakes for this lifetime. Maybe in another life, kidding aside, Nio was only a mistake but he is the most precious and most correct mistake she had ever committed.  She had a smile carved on her face because of the thought. "Hon, you're silent. Is there something running in your head?"

Nio was quite stunned to hear Syn, he sure was drowning in his thoughts. He sighed and looked at his fingers as he rubbed it against each other. "I mith moothroom already"

"Do you want to replace her batteries with new ones so she can comeback like you want?" she jested.

Nio's face lit up with hope, "Really?!" and then realizations hit him "But mom it doethn't work for dogth. Ith not funny."

"Don't be upset na, honey. Mommy's just gonna get you a toy na lang. How's that?"

They got out of the car and crossed the parking lot. A familiar figure was standing right before them, a smile was seen on Nio's face. "Tito Dariuth! You're here!" Nio squeaked and ran to him. Syn grinned to see them get along very well. "The both of you are that happy to see each other ha. Let's go."

"Hmm, I thought I'm not invited?" He teased.

"Hindi sana but Rio canceled on the last minute."

"What?! So I'm just an option? Atty. Synthia, just because I like you ha doesn't mean you can hurt my feelings and make me an option." Dariuth crossed his arms as they walked towards Toy Kingdom to buy Nio's toys. Syn turned to him with an eyebrow raised, "What?!"

"Sabi ko just because I like you, it doesn't mean—"

"Tito Dariuth you like my mommy? That'th great! Can you be my dad too?" Nio interposed as he overheard their conversation from a distance. Syn made face and held Nio's hand "Alonio, you don't ask that kind of question. Hear me?"

"Opo, thorry."

"Say sorry to your Tito Darius."

"Thorry po, Tito Dariuth." he looked down on his feet. "It's okay, buddy."

Nio smiled as he remembered that name "Dad callth me that, you're like my dad." and then he signalled Darius to lean so he can tell him "Be my dad too, Tito." and Darius burst into laughter.

Syn was feeling uncomfortable "Nio, enough. Go check out some toys so we can pay for it." Syn ordered. Nio was more than excited to own more toys so he rushed inside the toy kingdom and left the two adults on the atrium.

"So seriously, why did you invite me to join you both? On such short notice?" he asked.

"Rio canceled nga on the last minute, ayoko maupset uli si Nio kaya ikaw na natawagan ko." she confessed. Darius was expecting to hear that from her and that was the last of that conversation, they headed to the toy store to go after Nio. Darius helped Nio choose a toy and surprisingly, he also had a thing with airplanes.
