10: C is for C-nthia (SPG)

(Synthia, are you sure? Stress lang 'to sayo eh) Rio reminded on the oither line. Syn was busy packing her stuffs for her seminar and her University teaching offer which she agreed to do a few weeks ago but was postponed due to some issues.

"Gago, pangarap ko 'to. Tsaka maybe I was a fool then for letting this offer go and now they're offering me the same thing again---im not gonna let this go, bro. No way!"

(Canada is so far, I'm just worried)

"No need! I'm okay alone. I'll be back before you know it"

(Matagal ka pa kaya babalik)

"Isang week lang naman or two. You can always call me if something happens"

(Sure thing, seems like I can't change your mind. Ingat ka) then he ended the phone call. It was absurd but what can she do? She has a lot of things left to pack. Syn is wondering why Rio wants to change her mind. Well the truth is, Rio doesn't want her to know about Cyrus and Alyana's real honeymoon destination, which was fortunately and unfortunately Canada.

Cyrus and Alyana left 3 days ago but the memory they left was still fresh to her. Her eyebrows furrowed in frustration.

No messages from Cyrus.

No calls.

As if nothing happened. Maybe Rio is right, he just said he loves her because he's sad. She sat down and checked her gallery. Too many photos of her and Cyrus. Oh geez, she needs to delete them before somebody sneaks into her phone.

It's already 1 pm and she's still not done. Her phone almost fell as she immediately stood up and went inside her walk in closet. Too many to choose but she can't waste no time so she took everything and pushed them inside her luggage.

Upon arriving, Syn was torn between regretting the Canada offer and not regretting. She's in Canada but her heart and mind's still back there. She can't help herself from thinking about the possibilities of Cyrus coming back.

If he comes back and Syn's not there.

If he comes back and cut the strings between them.

If he comes back to be with her for the rest of their lives.

If he comes back to tell her he's choosing Alyana.

Regretting or not, that is the question.

"Attorney Syn, it's nice to finally meet you. Welcome to Canada! We hope you enjoy your stay"

"I'll sure do. Thank you so much for the offer and I'm so sorry for declining it in the first place. I wasn't able to leave the country due to court hearings and a few consecutive classes"

"It's okay, Attorney. It's such an honor that you finally agreed. It is our University's dream to have you here"

"The honor is mine" she smiled at the head master. As soon as they were done showing her around, she immediately went to her unit. Since the offer included paying all of her expenses, Syn had nothing to think about at all. Surely Syn is a big deal, her court badass behavior can make their opponents admit their mistakes.

She didn't have the time to sleep after she landed here so Syn decided to spend the rest of the day sleeping. But just as she was about to close her eyes, somebody knocked on her door. She procrastinated at first, but she ended up opening the door to find out who's this son of a pig to distract her marriage with her bed.
