22: He's Mine

"Kaks, are you okay? Malikot ba masyado si Nio?" Syn asked Kakie who was struggling to feed Nio. Kakie smiled and shook her head "Not at all, Ninang. Kaya ko po."

"Thank you, cheesecake." Syn said and got a plate for Rio who was busy talking with Lea and Sharon. "Kumain na kayo, hoy." She told them and gave Rio the plate.

"Ay sana all lahat" Dawn murmured. Richard laughed and got a plate too and gave it to her, "Share na tayo." Richard said. Aga did the same.

"Teka wala na bang spoon?" Syn asked. Sharon shook her head, she bit her lips. "Ay sige magkakamay na ako."

"Susubuan na lang kita" Rio told her.

"Diyan tayo eh no? Kinabog ang pilay, Lei" Sharon commented and laughed. Syn glared at them and opened her mouth as Rio raised his hand holding the spoon.

"Gusto ko nung carbonara" Syn said and pointed the carbonara. Rio asked Sharon, "Ate Shawie, may cheese to?" And Sharon  nodded yes. Syn pouted, "Mukha kasing masarap." She murmured.

"Bawal ka sa cheese. Tawag ka ng tawag kay Kakie ng cheesecake diyan baka mamaya magpapabili ka sa kaniya." Dawn said. Syn looked at her with her eyes flaming, "Kasi naman napakacute niya para siyang cheesecake! Enough with that, Dawn" she said and chewed her food.

"Mom, can I thwim? Dad already thaid yeth." Nio inserted.

"No." Lea, Dawn and Sharon chorused. Syn turned to them and laughed, "Kayo ang nanay?" She said.

"Have fun, Nio. Mom and Dad will catch up" Syn said and kissed the top of his head. Nio quickly came to Kakie's direction and held her hands. Kakie looked at Syn with a grin plastered on her face, "Close na kami ni Nio hehe. Hindi na kayo makakauwi nito hehe"

"Balik na lang kami next time, cheesecake."

"When would next time be, Ninang?"

"One of these days." Syn said. Rio decided to watch over Nio since Kakie was still eating and still haven't put her sunscreen on.

"Tsaka nga pala, why are you incomplete? Kulang kayo ng isa." They looked at each other, Kakie noticed. Lea spoke, "The other one's busy." But the truth is, they didn't invite him over. Cyrus might just make a scene again just like last night.

"Ay si Tito Cyrus pala ang kulang. Speaking of him, their baby looks a lot like Tita Alyana pero cutie"

"Babae pala?"

"Yes, Tita Dawn." Kakie said. Dawn nodded and looked at Syn to see her reaction. She stayed silent. But then somebody broke the deafening silence after what Kakie shared.

"Completo ang buong barkada! Naks!" That's woman's name was Alyana and with her was a little girl. Syn smiled faintly at her, how dare she interrupt them---she's not even a part of them. Alyana went to their direction and kissed Sharon, Lea, Dawn and lastly, Syn.

The little girl followed and kissed their cheeks as well. Kakie straightened her back as she saw a familiar figure just behind Alyana.

"Oh! Kompleto na pala kayo eh!"

They all turned to Kakie and then to the man she's pointing.

"Cyrus, hi!" Sharon greets and hugged him. Lea, Dawn and Syn looked at each other; trying to forget about the conflict last night before they went home. Cyrus was ashamed of what happened last night but he still managed to act as if nothing happened. Cyrus came close to Lea and kissed her cheek "Hi, Lea."

And then to Dawn "Hi, Dawn"

Lastly, Syn.

Their eyes met and glued to each other. They cannot stay like this for another second, she knew she had to say something first before he could search deep inside her soul again. Syn smiled tightly and breathed in, "Hi! So good to see you!" Syn exclaimed as Cyrus leaned to kiss her cheek. He closed his eyes as he sniffed her scent---it was no longer the same scent, rather, it was already Rio's. His heart collided silently as he pulled out. The warmth of her body sent chills down to his spine and that made him not to get away from her even more.
