Its always been comfortable waking up beside Hide. I'm usually wrapped around his arms while his lips touch my forehead. He's still sleeping but as soon as i look up he opened his eyes slowly to check if i'm already awake. I smiled and tried to bury myself beside his neck.
"Good morning." I whispered.
"Mmmm." he groaned and just hugged me tighter.
"It's too early, go back to sleep." he protested.
I know its five in the morning but I can't fall back to sleep. I just kept giving Hide tiny neck kisses and he's starting to actually wake up. He reached for his phone and i watch him check my schedule today.
"You have a huge meeting today." he said in a very sleepy morning voice.
"Have an idea what its about?"
"You want me to try ask them so you know more about it?"
"I do know but guess."
"Hmmm gang stuff?"
"New gang stuff. Nonpareil Millennials, today is the deadline."
"Will you accept it?"
"Hide..."
He looked at me and now he is a bit confused.
"I'll propose them an idea."
"Idea?"
"I want to co-lead it with you."
I suddenly felt the tense in his body.
"They wont-"
"Come with me there, they will agree i have a good reason for it."
He's quiet. Shocked? Annoyed? Overwhelmed? I cant tell. I kissed his neck and he just grabbed me tight and hugged me quietly.
"You can say no bunny." I sweetly said.
"I cant say no to that, i cant say no to you." He whispered.
"You know youre stuck with me if i propose that to them right?" I jokingly said.
"I'm good with that but will you be okay being stuck with me?" I can hear concern and how drained his confidence is right now.
I sit up and he leaned his head on the headboard of our bed. I reached for his hand and honesty too shy to look him in the eye.
"Youre not my first love, youre definitely not a love at first sight too. We all grew up seeing all these fantasies of having one to experience one of those too things and have a marriage out of it. That's literally every romantic movie isnt it?"
He squeezed my hand and it made me look at him.
"So what am i?"
"You're a soulmate. As soon as i get to know your passion, see how you handle things, how you react, and just how i felt your care even i always make you feel like theres no space for me to love. You just continue making me feel loved. I would never ask you to be romantically involved with me if i wasn't attracted to you."
