The next few weeks after the Hogsmeade were great for both Scorpius and Rose. They continued to study together, but the only thing that changed was they were a little more chatty. Talking to each other now became more natural. A few times, Madame Pince had to shush them for being to loud, and they both giggled at this. They started to talk about more complicated subjects than just Quidditch and studying. One night, Scorpius got into talking about Astoria. He didn't realize that he basically described everything about her to Rose. He had bottled it in for so long, he just had to let it all go.

"Yea, I suppose my mum started my love for reading. She loves to read. When she reads something, she always recommends it to me. It's kind of our thing." Rose said with a smile. Scorpius just smiled at this. Not just any smile, an Astoria smile. He loved that she loved reading, and that pearly white smile.

"Wait! Do that again!" Rose said.

"Do what?" Scorpius asked.

"Smile. Your smile is very nice. You don't smile much. You should, you have a perfect smile." Rose said, but blushing, she didn't mean to say that last part out loud.

"Oh. Thank you. I suppose I just don't smile that much because there's not much to smile about." Scorpius responded. He made a mental note to smile more, because it made Rose smile.

"Oh. Well, we're going to change that. You need to smile more. Tell me some of your happiest memories." Rose said.

"Well, um, okay I guess. I don't have that many, but I suppose I could tell you them." Scorpius responded.

"Go on. Tell me everything." Rose pleaded.

"Okay, let's think. Oh I've got one. When we used to go out for things, we always would dress nice. I don't know why, my dad made us for some reason. But that's not the point, when we were home, my mum used to wear these giant sweaters. I mean giant, they were an XXXL. I didn't understand why, she was a pretty small lady, but whenever I would ask she would respond with, They're comfortable! And she would pare them with a pair of jeans. I don't why this sticks out to me, but it used to make me and my dad laugh." Scorpius said with a smile on his face, thinking of this memory made him happy for a second, like maybe Astoria was still there.

"Your mum sounded like a good lady." Rose said, curious to know more.

"She was. She would make me and my dad laugh all the time. My dad isn't a very expressive person, but when she was around him, it was like he was a whole different person. I can remember sometimes, when she walked in a room, the whole mood changed. She was a pretty happy person. She liked to look on the bright side of things. She had a smile that lit up a room. When I was little, whenever I was scared about something, she would just smile at me, and I'd feel better. I'd give anything for her to smile at me again. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her." Scorpius said with a tear rolling down his cheek, he didn't mean to say that much, it just kind of spilled out. Then suddenly, a warm hand grabbed his and squeezed it.

"Hey, Scorp. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to get you upset." Rose said as she looked in his water filled eyes, while squeezing his hand.

"Oh no! Don't be sorry. I should have said these things a long time ago. If anything, this made me feel better about the situation. You know, she would have liked you." Scorpius said looking up, gazing into Rose's ocean-blue eyes.

"Really?" Rose asked.

"Yea. She liked everyone she met, but she would have liked you especially. Her personality was a lot like yours." Scorpius said as he squeezed her hand back. WaIt, WhAt! He just squeezed her hand. She squeezed his. They were holding hands. This was added to the One of the best moments of Scorpius's life list.
