A few more weeks past of the summer. July had turned into August. By now, all Hogwarts letters, N.E.W.T. Scores, and O.W.L. Scores had been delivered. It was mixed results for everyone. Some students excelled, and some did not. Scorpius woke up one afternoon  from staying up all night and reading, to find a letter sitting on the table. Scorpius assumed that it was from either Albus or Rose. Those where usually the only people he received letters from really. When Scorpius took the envelope into his hands, he automatically recognized Al's handwriting. Scorpius ripped open the envelope.

Hey Scorp,

My team just one regionals! Hopefully we make nationals! That would be awesome if we did. I know you don't understand muggle baseball, but I needed to tell someone. James still rarely comes out of his room. My mum has tried to get him to come out, but no luck. And, since N.E.W.T. Scores came in, he probably won't come out again. When my mum goes in there, she doesn't come out sometimes until an hour later. Anyways, I was planning on having you over again next week, but I don't know if we can now. My dad had an emergency mission come up, and we don't know when he'll be back. On the bright side, me and Caroline have been talking more lately. Who knows? Maybe we will get together soon, I sure hope so. Well, hopefully I'll see you again before school starts, but I don't know yet.

Your mate,
Albus

Scorpius read the letter. Ever since Scorpius knew Albus, he has always played muggle baseball during the summer. Before Albus attended Hogwarts, he went to regular muggle school. Ginny and Harry thought it would be a good idea to send the kids to muggle school before Hogwarts, so they could just learn the basic stuff they would need to know. During this time, Albus discovered muggle baseball. He had started playing when he was young, and when he had to go to Hogwarts, he missed it. So, in the summer, he gained a travel team. None of his teammates knew he was a wizard, or his family were wizards. For all they knew, he was just a normal 16 year old like them.

And also, ever since James and Alejandra broke up, James had been very depressed. He rarely came out of his room. Ginny couldn't get him to come down for meals, so eventually, she just delivered them to him. To make things worse, N.E.W.T. Scores came in. James did not do as he thought he would. It was a good thing James didn't plan to become an Auror or Healer. The only good thing that happened was that, James had signed with Puddermore United to fill their Seeker position. He would start practice in the fall. But, after that, he didn't know what he was going to go career-wise.

Scorpius put the letter down. He really hoped that he could go to Al's house sometime again this summer. He really enjoyed Al's friendship, but Scorpius desperately wanted to see Rose again. They had written back and forth everyday, but that was not as good as seeing each other in person. Then, an idea popped into Scorpius's head. No. No way would that work. That couldn't happen. But, could it? No. Yes. Maybe? Scorpius just sighed, he knew his idea probably didn't work but... There's always a small percentage chance, right?

Scorpius's idea was to invite Rose over. He knew it sounded crazy. But, it would only be for a few hours. Just invite her over for dinner. That was it. Just so he could see her again before school started, where homework and Quidditch practice, and Prefect rounds would get in the way of their alone time. It sounded ridiculous. There was no way he could pull it off. First of all, there was no way Draco would be okay with it. Draco knew that Scorpius and Rose fancied each other and were friends and stuff, but he didn't know they were actually together now.  But, on the flip side, Scorpius desperately wanted to see Rose, and he would do anything he could to see her. That was it. He had to confess. He couldn't hide his relationship from his father forever. Scorpius knew that Draco probably wouldn't be thrilled about it, but Scorpius wasn't going to lie about it. He wanted to let the whole world know he was Rose Weasley's boyfriend. That she was taken. That she was his. It was settled then. Scorpius had to confess to Draco. He would do it when they were sitting down for dinner tonight.
