April faded into May before anyone knew it. Well, mostly everyone. Scorpius had thought that time was going by extra slow lately. He just couldn't wait for the ball and graduation. Not just that, but especially after that. He couldn't wait until the day that he would pop the question to Rose. But, he knew if he waited, it would pay off in the end. For now, both Scorpius and Rose's schedules were packed to the brims. After Scorpius got back from Quidditch, they would spend about four and a half hours in the common room on homework and studying. N.E.W.T's were approaching, and we know Scorpius and Rose to well, so, of course, all they did lately was study.Though, luckily, one big thing that caused a lot of stress was about to be taken off both of their plates. The Quidditch Cup. Like everyone thought, Slytherin and Gryffindor were the two teams that were going head to head. Scorpius and Rose agreed that they would treat this like the last match. So, that whole part wasn't as stressful as before. Rose was stressed like every other Captain would be on Quidditch Cup day. But, Scorpius was a little more stressed than she was. But, it wasn't exactly about the match. Well, it was a contributing factor, but something different than that.
"Stop Stressing! This is good practice! But what if she says no. She's not going to say no. But, if she says no to being your date to the Graduation Ball, than how are you going to ask her to marry you? She has been dating you for years now, SHE'S NOT GOING TO SAY NO!" Scorpius had a war going on in his head as he put on his Quidditch uniform. He was planning on asking Rose to be his date to the Graduation Ball in a special way. Deep down, he knew she'd definitely say yes, but this is Scorpius we're talking about. Of course he'd be worried about it.
"Hey Scorpius, are we still on for your plan?" Allison said as she walked into Scorpius's room, with her Quidditch uniform on also. As one of Scorpius's friends, she agreed to help him with his plan to ask Rose to the Graduation Ball. Scorpius had thought up this plan last week. With Allison's help, before the match started, they would go up on their brooms with their wands, and cast an enchantment that would write in the sky. The message would say Rose, would you be my date to the Graduation Ball? Scorpius thought this would be good practice for the big question he was going to ask Rose at the end of the year. Also, when Scorpius asked Allison to help him, she was happy to. Allison and Scorpius were friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Well, the end of last year, the beginning of this year, Allison had developed a little fancying. But, as soon as she noticed how much Scorpius and Rose were in love with each other, that quickly died.
Anyways, Scorpius was finished putting on his signature Slytherin Quidditch uniform. When he walked over and looked at himself in the mirror, he realized something. This would be the last time in his life that he'd ever wear it. This was his last Quidditch match. Scorpius really didn't have a desire to play Quidditch professionally. He had got one offer from a smaller Quidditch league, but he didn't except. As Scorpius continued to look at himself in the mirror, these kind of depressed thoughts showered him. To try and fix his mood, he grabbed his broom, and left the room, and headed out to the common room to see Rose.
As Rose got into her uniform that morning, she had very similar thoughts. She put on her Gryffindor Quidditch uniform, and walked over to fix her hair in the mirror. A downing thought popped into her mind. This would be the last time that she would put on that uniform. Actually, now that she gave it serious thought, this would be her last Quidditch match. She wasn't going to play Quidditch professionally. This was actually her last Quidditch match. She had been playing for Gryffindor for six years, with at least one member of her family every year. To try and brighten her mood, she walked out into the common room, to find Scorpius sitting on one of the sofas, waiting for her.
"Hey. You know what I just realized?" Rose said as soon as she plopped down right next to Scorpius. It took Scorpius a minute to grasp what she said. When he saw her enter the room, the stressful thoughts came back.
