Now with the new school year in session, everyone went to their classes and received homework and such. For Scorpius and Rose, this years homework was nothing compared to last years. With O.W.L.'s out of the way, they found to have much more free time than usual. But, or course, every second of free time they had was basically spent together. Like last year, the couple did all of their studying together in the library. But, they found that since they didn't have as much to do, they were getting done way quicker."Hey! Where are you going?" Scorpius asked as Rose gathered up all of her things.
"Well, since I thought we were done, I was going to go back up to Gryffindor Tower." Rose responded.
"Oh. Well, since the weather is still nice, I thought I'd go for a stroll. Care to join me?" Scorpius said casually. When Scorpius said this, Rose's face lit up. She then gave him a quick kiss on the check, (since they were in the library,) and went to go put her stuff away.
"I get that's a yes then. Well, meet me back down by the front entrance." Scorpius told her as she finished gathering her things up. After Rose exited the library, Scorpius just smiled to himself. He honestly couldn't believe how great life was right now. For 4 years, he had to go through people teasing him about his father and grandparents, loosing his mum, people calling him Deatheater. But, now, Scorpius felt like he could do anything. It was like he was on a lifetime supply of Felix Felicis. He had a supporting best friend. He had the most brilliant, beautiful, kindest girl in the world seeing him. She loved him. She really loved him back. After all these years of fancying Rose Weasley, they were finally together. They loved each other.
After Scorpius was done thinking all of that to himself, he finished gathering his things, and excited the library, to go put his stuff away. Scorpius walked at a pretty brisk pace down to the dungeons. When he got there, he quickly made his way to his dorm to put his stuff down, and take of the main layer of his school uniform.
"Hey." Albus said as he saw Scorpius walk into the room. Al was sitting on his bed doing homework.
"Oh, hey." Scorpius said as he took his cloak off, to reveal the under layer of the school uniform, which contained of a sweater with a dress shirt under it, dress pants, a Slytherin tie, and dress shoes.
"Where are you off to in such a hurry? Oh wait. Maybe I don't want to know that." Albus asked, and then a thought popped into his head that maybe Scorpius was going to take his cousin and go snogg in a broom closet.
"Oh, just out onto the grounds to enjoy some fresh air." Scorpius said back, already half way out the door. Albus just laughed at this. He knew that Scorpius was going somewhere with Rose. He was sure he'd hear every detail about it later. So, with that, Al just chuckled to himself, and returned to his school work.
As Al said that last part, Scorpius was already leaving. He made his way quickly through the common room, and out the tapestry. He quickly walked up the stairs, and out onto the main floor of the school. It was hard for Scorpius not to break out into a run, but he made his way to the Entrance Hall. He stood there for a minute and waited, but then he saw curly red-hair come into view.
"Okay, let's go." Rose said as she approached Scorpius. She had also taken off her cloak, and was wearing the same thing as Scorpius was. Except for the Gryffindor tie and skirt. Scorpius then held out his arm, and Rose gladly took it. They started to walk, and headed out onto the grounds.
"Where are we going?" Rose asked.
"Wherever you like, but I was thinking our usual spot." Scorpius replied. Rose just smiled at him, in agreement.
The young couple then walked onto the grounds of Hogwarts. They breathed in the fresh, September air, just enjoying this time together. They eventually made their way to their spot, and sat down. Scorpius actually laid down, and rested his head on Rose's lap.
"You know, you have the most beautiful eyes." Scorpius said, looking up at Rose.
"I know, you've said that before." Rose simply responded, running her fingers through Scorpius's soft hair.
The two just sat there for the longest time, starring out to the view of the enchanted lake, taking in the scenery. An idea popped into Scorpius's head. He had to say it out loud, to see if Rose would approve.
"I have an idea." Scorpius said out loud after a while of silence. They were just enjoying each other's presence, they really didn't say anything.
"I'm listening." Rose said back, still running her fingers through Scorpius's wavy, soft, platinum-blond, locks.
"Come with me." Is all Scorpius said. Rose was a little frustrated at first when Scorpius got up, but she quickly responded, by getting up with him and taking his arm.
The two walked to a different spot, still arm in arm. Rose was curious to where they were going. Could this day get any better? Little did she know, but it would.
They then soon approached a different spot across the lake. It was a spot with many trees. Rose looked around in curiosity. Why were they over here? But, then, Scorpius said something.
"Close your eyes." Scorpius instructed.
"Why?" Rose asked. What was he doing?
"Just do it. Trust me, you'll see." Scorpius answered Rose's question.
"Okay, if you say so." Rose said, covering her eyes with her hands and closing them.
"No peaking. It's a surprise!" Scorpius said, making sure Rose wasn't peaking through the cracks of her fingers. Once he made sure that she wasn't looking, he took out his wand and mumbled a spell, trying to make sure she wouldn't hear. Rose heard Scorpius say something, but she couldn't understand what. What was he doing that required her to keep her eyes closed? More and more questions filled her head, until Scorpius spoke at a normal volume again.
"Open your eyes now." Scorpius directed. Rose then took her palms off of her eyes and opened them. When she opened her eyes, a whole wave of different emotions hit her. She felt like melting into a million pieces. She was so touched. Scorpius was so sweet. She just stood there staring at it, speechless.
"Well, what do you think?" Scorpius said to his girlfriend. What would she think? Would she think that it was stupid? Was it to soon to do something like this?
After a moment of silence, Rose responded. "Oh, Scorp! I love it!" She ran her hand over the new carving in the tree. It was the same tree that her parents initials were carved in many years ago. Now, hers and Scorpius's were carved right next to theirs. The carving read:
S+R 4 EVER with a heart around it.
"Oh good. I was scared there for a second when you didn't say anything." Scorpius said. And, without any warning, Rose snogged him very passionately. It took Scorpius no time at all to respond. The two stood there and snogged for at least ten minutes, only breaking apart slightly to get breaths. Eventually, they did break apart, and sat down under this tree, the same positions they were in earlier.
Scorpius and Rose spent the rest of the afternoon like that. Just admiring their new carving, and each other, lightly chatting about different things.
Author's Notes:
Hey everyone! Okay, this chapter was really short, I know. Again, I only had about an hour to write this today. I still am going to try to post everyday, even if some of the chapters are shorter than others. I still hope you enjoyed it though. I thought a cute, and a bit fluffy chapter needed to be posted. So, thank you so much for the votes and all the reads. I still can't believe we are over 1000 reads, and we're at #2 for Scorose. As always, stay safe and healthy my fellow Potterheads! Oh, and happy Memorial Day if you live in America like me.
