Our first C rank mission

"Come in," Hiruzen Sensei told me after I knocked on his office door. Man doing this used to be really intimidating, but after a few weeks of doing it, I somehow got a little used to it. Once I opened the door, I was surprised to see team 7 there. Well all of them except Naruto of course. He was still at home, but how come he didn't tell me that he needed to go to the Hokage's office today?

"Well I guess we all know which Uzumaki sibling is the responsible one," Kakashi remarked. "Huh? Oh right Naruto will be here soon. He slept in this morning, and wouldn't wake up, so I drew on his face as revenge. When I left he was trying to wash it off," I explained while I showed Sasuke and Sakura the picture. The picture was of Naruto with cat ears on his head, and drawings on his face that made him look more cat-like. I even traced over his whisker marks.

I noticed Kakashi and Hiruzen shook their head for a second, and wondered what it was about, but I didn't get to ask before Naruto showed up. Clean face, and all, but the moment he saw me he put me in a headlock asking me why I drew on his face this morning. "You dork wake up when you're told to, and I wouldn't do it," I stated as I broke free from his hold, and ruffled up his hair.

"That's quite enough you two," Hiruzen Sensei warned us. I instantly let go of Naruto, and straighten my posture. "Uhm sorry Sensei," I apologized. I made myself comfortable standing to the side of team 7 waiting for them to be done getting their mission from the Hokage first before I got my own. That's the way it's been for this week mostly. I come up to his office in the morning, he gives me some D rank mission, and once I'm finished, I tell him, and he follows me out to the dock with a clone. From there we once again work on controlling my chakra by walking on water.

I'm getting pretty good if I say so myself. I can actually walk for a while now with ease. Hiruzen Sensei said we would start working on other things on the water now since I was getting the hang of it! The Hokage was trying to give team 7 a D rank mission, but Naruto was having none of it! He was throwing so much of a fit, that I almost went, and hit him on the back of his head. That was my Sensei and the Hokage he was talking to like that!!

Surprisingly, the Hokage listened to his complaints, and decided to give them a C rank mission. Their first 'real mission' was to escort some bridge builder back to his own village. Once given the mission Naruto cheered, and then started to tease me about getting a real mission before I did. Like I really cared. I didn't particularly want to go on a real mission by myself like I did for all the others. I'm still a new genin for crying out loud!!

That's when I sense another presence in the room, was it the bridge builder? The second I looked for the new presence, a small child ran into the room. He made a big fuss about how he was going to surpass the Hokage, and then he suddenly tripped........ OVER NOTHING!?

"Hey, not so fast pip squeak! I'm going to be Hokage first believe it," Naruto told the boy. My eye twitched as I looked over at my brother, "are you seriously about to pick a fight with a child," I asked him. "Jeez he needs to grow up," I thought to myself.

The next person to come barging in, was a person who, judging by his words and actions, was the keeper of the child. He also kept calling the kid Konohamaru, so I guess that's his name. The moment he showed up he began to blame Naruto for tripping Konohamaru. Things got even more chaotic because then Konohamaru started to claim that Naruto tripped him. The kid wasn't anywhere near him when he fell, what the hell!?

"I didn't trip you, you did that by yourself," Naruto yelled as he grabbed the boy by his crazy long scarf. "Get your hands off of him! Don't you know who that is!? That's the honorable grandson of the honorable Third Hokage," the mysterious caretaker guy shouted. Naruto froze, and looked at the boy for a second, "what now tough guy? I thought you were going to hit me. Afraid because the Third Hokage is my grandfather," Konohamaru asked.
