~Three weeks after the Land of Waves mission.~
~(Y/n)'s p.o.v.~
"Morning Hiruzen Sensei," I called as I walked into the Hokage's office. I couldn't help, but sigh in frustration when I saw the mess that awaited me. Seriously it was so packed with paperwork and jonin that I wouldn't have known the Hokage was even in there if it wasn't for the small walk way that led to his overcrowded desk. All of this was thanks to the upcoming chunin exams. Hiruzen Sensei warned me about them a few weeks ago, but still I bet Naruto wouldn't want to be the Hokage anymore if he saw all the paperwork that was involved in it.
I was getting the 'luxury of a lifetime' to get a glimpse of the life of a jonin as well thanks to all of this because Hiruzen Sensei basically had me escorting the visiting village members to their apartments, and catering to whatever else they needed. Some were really cool to meet while others had more than just a stick up their asses! That plus the training, added up to the nice results of me being worked like a dog! Seriously I haven't gotten home at a decent time in WEEKS! Had I known that it would be this exhausting I would have slept more when I had the chance the first week back from my mission instead of staying up all night reading about anything I could find on Jinjuriki, and the fourth.
Which wasn't a lot unfortunately, but once I confronted Hiruzen Sensei about it, he did clear some small things up for me. We've even begun training to help me understand the difference between my chakra and the fox's chakra. I told him about the 'room-thing' I saw, and he explained how I was able to communicate with the fox in that dimension. I've spent a night or two just talking to the fox, found out his name is Kurama, but let me tell you. The guy has got more anger issues than a cat dunked in water! So I haven't gotten much out of him yet.
Oh! But something cool is that I've also been training on kenjutsu with Hiruzen Sensei which is the art of fighting with a sword. He knows the basics, but nothing too fancy. That's why some days I get to train with Hayate Sensei as well. His sword technique is amazing! And he's a great teacher, but I think he's gonna croak soon if no one does something about that cough of his. Seriously.... It's more than a little concerning. He said it's alright though, but that's done little to calm me. Thanks to his training as well as finally learning Naruto's shadow clone jutsu, I've learned a really neat technique to use with my sword called the 'Dance of the Crescent Moon'. Of course it's nowhere near as powerful as Hayate's, but I'm working on it!
Like I said I was being worked to the bone along with everyone else currently in the office, and today clearly wasn't going to be any different. "Oh good morning (Y/n), I have your first task of the day here for you," Hiruzen Sensei said as he waved me over. I weaved around the jonin and piles of paper, but made it to his desk in no time to receive the envelope in his hands as well as four keys on a key-chain.
"We have a group from the Land in the Wind coming in today, and I want you to show them to their apartment, as well as to show them around, or whatever they need," he explained. "Same old same old got it. I sure hope they're nicer than those that sound genin though. They were really rude," I stated as I crossed my arms in front of my chest. Hiruzen Sensei chuckled, "you know how it goes. Inside the envelope is how the three genin and their Sensei look as well as a small bit of info on each. There's a piece of paper with the info on their housing arrangements as well. Oh and there seems to have been a miscommunication somewhere, so I have no idea if they are here or arriving soon, so have fun," he explained before diving into more of his work.
Wait.... Did he really just say that!? I sighed in irritation before forcing a smile, "Sure no problem. Later guys," I said into the office getting a few replies from the other jonin before I shut the door, and began my mission. I climbed my way to the rooftop, and sat down as I took out the profiles. "Let's see what these sand critters look like," I said.
