"(Y/n), I'd have thought your sensei would have taught you how to control your anger better." Kakashi pointed out as he stared me down. "I didn't even say anything," I shot back at him. "No offense kid, but you didn't have to. You're not very good at hiding your anger on your face," Pakkun pointed out. I rolled my eyes at the two of them and crossed my arms across my chest. "Listen, I understand why I have to do it, which is why I'm not arguing about it. So let me be pissed in silence. I'm going to get time to run it off anyway," I shot.

Could you blame me!? Not two seconds of walking into Kakashi and Naruto's room to see if we were getting ready to head out yet, and Kakashi was already ordering me to once again stay away from Naruto! Okay, he didn't exactly say that in those words, but '(Y/n) you're going to go with Pakkun to meet up with Team Guy and fill them in with all the information we have learned so far,' is definitely cutting it close!

Before either human or dog could talk back, Naruto rolled over in his sleep and fell off his bed waking up. "Ow that hurt," Naruto muttered sleepily as he sat up. "Good job dork," I chuckled as I ruffled his bed head as well. "Oh, Naruto, you're up," Pakkun said. "Huh? Hey, Pakkun" Naruto replied as he turned and leaned towards the dog. "Alright, you two better get moving." Kakashi told Pakkun and me.

"Fine," I managed to say through gritted teeth. "Huh? Hey wait where are-," Naruto started before I interrupted him. "Don't worry. I'll be back soon. Take care of Kakashi and Sakura for me while I'm away. Pakkun hop on," I insisted as I motioned to my shoulder. Pakkun hopped on to my back with his front paws on top of my left shoulder using chakra to keep himself attached to me before I jumped out a window and began to run in the direction of Sunagakure's gate.

"So..... you upset because you got stuck with the messaging part of the mission?" Pakkun asked after we left the village and I began to use my kunai to travel faster like I had done on our way here. I shook my head, "no it's not that. Look I get that even without the other part of Kurama in me I'm still the best for this part of the mission. It's not that I don't hate being a target of the Akatsuki, that's just one inconvenience. What I hate the most is separating from my brother and knowing that he is also a target." I admitted.

"Hmmm," Pakkun hummed. I rolled my eyes, "if you have something to say, then spit it out already," I told him. "I just don't get why you are so worried. I know the Akatsuki are strong, but you seem to think Naruto will perish if he's ever not in your sight and under your protection. I can smell that he's gotten stronger, and he has Kakashi and Sakura with him who are also very strong ninja. So why is it that you don't trust them to protect and fight alongside Naruto?" Pakkun asked me.

I groaned, "I didn't come on this mission for a council session Pakkun!" I mentally shouted at the dog. "It's not about them in particular Pakkun. You see, all the Hokage could be resurrected and be fighting with Naruto, and I'd still worry for his safety. That's just how I'm wired. I'm both his big sister and his mother. Still, just like Naruto, I've done some growing up myself. Just you watch, if those Akatsuki want a fight, then they've come to the right place because Naruto and I have plenty to dish out!" I shouted before I picked up the pace to reach Team Guy that much sooner. Also to make Pakkun have to concentrate all of his attention on not falling off so he couldn't ask anymore questions.

We had just barely breached the edge of the desert when Pakkun sniffed the air, "they're just up ahead (Y/n)," he said. I nodded my head and resorted to simply running towards them to preserve my chakra a little. A minute later, I was standing face to face in front of Team Guy. They stopped in front of me and I took a moment to breathe while Pakkun explained why we were here.

"Kakashi sent eight of us ninja hounds to scour the countryside, and try to pick up the Akatsuki organization's scent. Well, we soon discovered they were headed for the Land of Rivers bordering the Leaf and the Sand." Pakkun started. "Land of Rivers?" Neji asked. Pakkun nodded his head before hopping off of my shoulders, "that's right. And since your squad is on its way from the Leaf village to the Sand, I guess this is your lucky day. You're the closest, if you can call it lucky." Pakkun continued.
