Joe's POV
I really couldn't describe her pain. She would just stare into space and probably walk around.
She needed space and I had to give her that.
"We're going out soon." I told her.
"Wow, really. I want to go to the restaurant. I've missed eating pizza." She said and chuckled.
If only she could just smile again, I thought.
I took her out, treating her like the beautiful egg that she was. She ate pizza to her heart's content. I could only stare.
The staff were happy to see her again. They all hugged her and consoled her on her plight.
Things turned to worse when she saw Bayo there.
She held me tightly, drawing my attention.
"Mandy?" I asked and looked towards the direction.
"Bayo what are you doing here?" I asked.
Amanda's grip on me tightened. She was scared.
"Please...tell him to go away." She said.
"I came to apologize." He said.
"Please leave. She's scared. She doesn't want to see you." I said again, firmly this time.
"Oga abeg, leave our madam alone. You no see how she dey fear ni?" One of the staff said.
"Abi oh. Make him commot. Na him wife do that rubbish thing. Mttcheew." Another one hissed.
"The wicked shall know no rest." Another replied.
Bayo had to leave.
"Please take me home. I'm so...I'm so hot." She said. "I'm in pain."
I stared at her, the pain in her eyes said it all.
"Let's go." I said and led her away.
