Liam's POV

I stared blankly at the black board in front of me as my mind drifted to what happened last night. Totoo bang nangyari yon? Nananaginip lang ba ako?

"Bro, tawag ka ni Prof." Lucas snapped me out of my thoughts.

Pagkatingin ko sa paligid ko, nagpapalakpakan ang buong klase at nakatingin sila saken.

"I want you all to learn from this guy. It takes a lot of hard work and perseverance to organize an outstanding performance for your University week and still ace the final exams. Congratulations, Mr. Castillo." Sabi ng Prof ko.

Tumayo ako at kinuha ang exam ko kay Prof. "Thank you so much, Sir." Sabi ko.

"Speech naman dyan!" Kantyaw saken ni Lucas. Kupal talaga tong si Lucas.

"Oo nga! Words of advice from Mr. Over-achiever!" sabi pa ng iba kong mga tropa.

"Please give them some pointers on how to do better next time. Or better yet, motivate them." Sabi ng Professor ko.

"Uhmm... I-I don't know what to say." I stuttered. I have no idea how to give impromptu speeches like these. Sanay ako ng may kabisadong script kapag nagsasalita sa harap ng maraming tao.

"Prof! Can we just ask Liam questions please?" sabi ng kaklase kong babae na hindi ko naman masyadong nakakausap.

"Bakit pag naarte ka sa theatrical arts stage you're so confident pero pag dito sa classroom, you're so quiet. Hindi ka tuloy namin makausap." Tanong niya sabay pout.

I smiled faintly. "Whenever I'm on stage, I feel like I'm someone else, like I'm the character that I'm portraying in the story. If that person is confident, then I must look confident but if you'll know the real me, I'm just Liam, a sincere guy who sometimes doesn't know how to express himself, especially in front of a crowd."

"How were you able to balance org life and academics? Like you participate in swimming competitions, EVP ka pa. Yet, you manage to be the smartest person in this class."

"In academics, I always focus on my dreams and purpose. I want to help people who aren't fortunate enough to seek professional medical help. That's my calling and my dream career. In terms of my Executive Vice President role in theatrical arts, I joined that organization because of the art. When life gets too hard, art makes me feel alive. It serves as my escape from reality. I can be who that I want to be through acting. It's quite hard to explain unless you've experience art saving you from this chaotic world. I like poems, stories, and songs. Medicine cures physical injuries, but art heals tired souls, and I think that's beautiful. I'm grateful to be able to do both things." I sincerely said.

The girls in my class awed, "That was so deep."

One girl raised her hand, "Last question, aside from art, is there anything else that inspires you, or anyone?" tanong niya.

"Yes, there's someone."

I can't help but smile as I think about her. My precious God-given gift. Napuno ng hiyawan ang classroom. Narinig ko ang pangangantiyaw ni Lucas mula sa likod.

"OMG! Who's the lucky girl?" Narinig kong tanong ng mga babae.

Luckily, niligtas ako ng prof ko who didn't seem to be interested in this line of questioning, That's it class, sabi niyo last question niyo na yung kanina. Liam, you may take a seat."

"Bro, what was that about?" tanong saken ni Lucas pagkaupo ko. I just grinned at him and didn't say anything.

"Lucas, narinig mo ba? Sportsfest segment ngayon ng University Week, yung College of Health and Sciences lalaban sa College of Business Administration sa Women's Volleyball. Tara pare nuod tayo!" Narinig kong sabi ng tropa ko kay Lucas.
