Bella's POV
Dumaan kami sa drive-thru ng Jollibee. "Your favorite, as usual." Ngiti ni Liam.
"Two buckets of Chickenjoy. Isang puro leg part tapos yung iba puro wing part. Plus, yum burger and pineapple juice. Additional peach mango pie for dessert." Sabi ni Liam sa intercom.
"Kabisado mo parin ah?" sabi ko sa kanya.
"Five years ko ba namang nirerecite to, makakalimutan ko pa ba? Kaya ko nga atang irecite 'to kahit tulog ako." Sabi ni Liam with matching pikit pa ng mata.
I laughed heartily. His sense of humor never fail to amaze me. He opened his eyes and looked at me. "I missed that." Sabi niya.
"Alin?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"Your laugh. It's been a while since we laughed like this." Sabi niya.
"I know." Sagot ko sa kanya.
Dinala ako ni Liam sa safe haven niya. We saw the city lights twinkling under the stars. "It's still as beautiful as ever." Sabi ko.
"Yeah." Sabi niya nang nakatitig saken.
"The place, I mean." Sabi ko.
"Pwede both?" biro niya. "Let's watch your favorite." Sabi niya at plinay ang paboritong kong movie: Ratatouille
"Liam?" I called him.
"Hhhmmm?" malambing niyang tanong.
"Can I cuddle you?" tanong ko.
"Remember my answer the first time you asked me that question?"
Then I recalled him saying: "You're my girlfriend, of course you can. Come here." God, it seemed like a million years ago. But the memory was still fresh in my mind.
"Yes." Sagot ko.
"Hindi ako makapaniwalang dadating yung araw na tatanungin mo ko ng tanong na yan, pero hindi na parehas ng sagot ko. It's crazy." Sabi niya as he laughed bitterly.
Napabuntong hininga ako upon realizing that he just rejected me. At the realization, I started to move away from him when I suddenly felt his warm arms embracing me, pulling me towards him.
"I just can't believe that tomorrow, you're no longer my Bella. But let me hug you tightly before I let you go." Sabi niya.
We silently watched the movie for quite some time. "Say hi to Remy for me, okay?" sabi niya. "Remy?" Nagtataka kong tanong.
"Remy, the rat. He's in France, right?" Natatawa niyang tanong.
"Last mo na yan?" sabi ko sa kanya sabay palo sa dibdib.
I felt him kissed the top of my head. "Alam mo, nakakarelate ako kay Remy." Sabi ko sa kanya.
"Bakit naman? Ang ganda mo namang daga." sabi niya.
"Liam! Stop!" natatawa kong sabi.
"Seriously, why?" tanong niya.
"Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere." I quoted, "Remy is just a plain rat but he came to France with full of hope. Hoping that he can be anything that he wants to be and he did."
"Ngayon pinapanuod mo lang sa palabas, pero bukas andyan ka na." sabi ni Liam. "I'm so happy for you."
"Thank you." Sabi ko.
"Asan nga pala gift ko?" tanong ko sa kanya.
"Gift?' tanong niya.
"Birthday ko ngayon ha?" sabi ko sa kanya.
