Chapter 44: The Booth

3rd Person POV

Lianne watched as Liam and Bella gets dragged into the booth.

"This is going to be an eye-opener for Liam. Nothing hurts more than being rejected by the one that you love publicly." Sabi ni Daisy kay Lianne.

Through Marriage booth, Lianne wants to force Bella on exposing their relationship or show Liam what a coward she really is, and she knows that Bella will do the latter.

"What the heck?! Marriage booth? Tara let's go!" Narinig ni Judith na sigaw ni Trixie habang nakikipag-date siya kay Chad sa photo booth. Naintriga si Judith.

"Anong meron sa marriage booth?" tanong niya.

"Baka may ikakasal? Kanina pa nanghuhuli yung mga officers na yan, magbabayad ka lang then ikakasal nila yung gusto mong ikasal. Gusto mo din ba?" tanong ni Chad sabay kindat kay Judith.

"Ew! Tumigil ka nga." Sabi ni Judith pero deep inside kinikilig siya.

"Teka, si Bella at Liam ba yon?" turo ni Chad. "Holy Molly! Tara!" Nakabelong puti si Bella at may hawak na bulaklak samantalang si Liam ay pinagsuot ng itim na coat.

Kabadong-kabado si Bella. She can see people swarming around them in an open field, with their phones focused on them. They were streaming her live on Social Media. She looked at Liam and he seems calm. Habang nagbibigay ng fake sermon ang isang estudyante ay tiningnan ni Bella ang paligid.

Nakita niya si Judith sa malayo na kasama si Chad. Aang tropa nila Trixie na pinagtatawanan siya sa gitna ng mga takang-taka na estudyante. Lahat sila ay naintriga kung kanino ikakasal si Liam.

"Ambisyosa naman 'tong babaeng to. Ikasal ba naman ang sarili niya kay Liam? Ugh! As if! Knowing Liam, di niya yan hahalikan for sure." Sabi ni Trixie.

Bella can feel her heart beating out of her chest as she was blinded by the flashes of camera and by the people laughing and whispering. She doesn't like this much attention.

Pakiramdam niya nakatingin ang buong mundo sa kanya. She wanted to run away. Naninikip ang dibdib niya at hindi siya makahinga nang maayos. She felt weak and vulnerable. Nakita niya si Lianne at ang mga kaibigan nito sa malayo, waiting for her downfall.

"You may now kiss the bride." She can barely hear what the facilitator is talking about.

Liam touched her on her left shoulder. "Bella? Bella? Are you okay, kalma ka lang. Breathe deeply on the count of 3..."

She's breathing fastly and is on the verge of an anxiety attack.

"Bella, look at me. It's just us. Tayong dalawa lang. Focus on me." Sabi ni Liam.

She focused on him and stared at his face as he guides her to breathe deeply. "Don't look at the crowd. Focus on me." Liam is doing his best para mapakalma si Bella. Slowly but surely, it worked.

"Now let's see if Liam can fake this." Natatawang sabi ni Trixie. She's literally waiting for Bella to be embarrassed, fully ignorant of the fact that these two are dating.

"If I were her, I'd be too ashamed to show my face next school year." Sabi pa ng isa nilang blockmate.

Lianne is carefully watching Bella and is keenly waiting for her next move. Bella tried her best to remain calm. She wants to escape but upon hearing people's opinion, it made her determined to prove them wrong. Liam has been very supportive of her mental health. His soothing voice brought her back to her senses. As she slowly wrapped her arms around his neck, she heard gasps from the people around them.

"OMG! The audacity of this girl!" sabi ni Trixie.

'You know what? Fuck it.' Sabi ni Bella sa isip niya.

She tiptoed and planted a soft kiss on Liam's lips. Liam's eyes widened, totally surprised by Bella's bravery. The kiss lasted for a few seconds. Bella's lips were steady, and she didn't move an inch. Meanwhile, Liam was too shocked to react fast. Cameras were flashing everywhere.

Bella pulled away from the kiss and stared at Liam. There was total silence. People were waiting for his reaction. Liam blinked, stared at Bella then smiled, flashing his pearly with teeth.

"You did it, babe. I love you so much." Liam said as he pulled Bella against his body, cupped her cheeks and kissed her passionately.

Bella responded with the same amount of intensity. Their chemistry is totally evident. Their lips danced against each other like a performance that was practiced a thousand times. Cheers erupted in the field as fireworks exploded in the night sky. It was a beautiful sight.

Trixie and Lianne's jaw dropped in disbelief along with the crowd. May ilang naghihiyawan tulad nila Judith at Chad. Honestly, Bella didn't care. Liam's kiss erased the negative thoughts from her mind. All she could think of is his lips against hers.

"Woah! Is this for real? Are you recording this?" sigawan ng mga estudyante.

Even the University Newspaper is taking pictures of the moment. The happy couple, dressed in their impromptu bride and groom outfits, kissed passionately under the the bright stars and fireworks display, it was a shot worthy of a cover for their articles.

"Okay po, tama na po yan. I think that kiss is enough." Pag-awat sa kanila ng student officer.

"Grabe naman humalik si Papa Liam. Super galing huhuhu sana all, nakiss. Palista din po ako, ikasal kay Liam! Kahit magkano po!" sabi ng isang estudyante na babae.

"Sorry girls." sabi ni Liam sabay taas ng magkahawak nilang kamay ni Bella na may suot na singsing galing sa Marriage booth. "But I'm happily taken." Nakangiting anunsyo ni Liam.

"Aaawwwww! Kainggit!" tilian nila.

"Oh picture naman ang bagong kasal." Sabi ng photographer.

Bella and Liam smiled brightly at the cameraman. It was a perfect picture, a perfect way to end University week.
