Bella's POV
"Happy Birthday, Bella!" bati saken nila Mom and Dad.
I closed my eyes and wished for my heart's desire before blowing the candle. Applause surrounded the room. I opened my eyes and found myself surrounded by people who loves me, my parents, Kuya Alfred, Judith and Chad. They're all here, smiling brightly.
"Happy Birthday, Anak. We're happy that you spent your birthday with us before going to France tomorrow. Ingat ka anak, mamimiss ka namin." Sabi ni Mom.
"Thanks Mom." Sabi ko sa kanya.
"Beshy! Pakatatag ka sa France ha? I'm just one videocall away." Sabi ni Judith.
She smiles brightly. She radiates a beautiful glow of a pregnant woman. Yes, Judith's pregnant.
"Sayang, hindi ka makaka-attend sa magiging binyag nitong baby ko, pero okay lang. Ikaw parin ang ninang niya." Sabi ni Judith.
As I stared at her belly, I can't help but feel a hint of envy and curiousity. She's already starting her own family wherein I'm just starting my own life. I can't help but wonder if I'm making the right choice.
"I'll just be the cool ninang who gives expensive gifts and travels around the world while sipping on my luxurious champagne." Pabiro kong sabi sa kanya.
Niyakap ako ni Judith bigla. "Just promise me that you'll heal and be happy okay? I love you." Bulong ni Judith.
"Ano ba yan, Beshy? Naiiyak tuloy ako." Sabi ko sa kanya.
We hugged each other and bid our goodbyes. Pagkatapos ng party ay nagligpit na kami nila Mom. Napapunta ako sa garden namin, pagabi na pala. Patapos na ang araw at bukas ay panibagong simula na ng buhay ko sa France.
Napaupo sa ako veranda ng bahay namin habang pinapanuod ang buwan. I can't help but remember, me and Liam hanging out here together during our college years.
"Kung pipilitin mo maigi yan, maiinis ka lang. Relax, look for inspiration." I imagined Liam saying that as he sat in one of the chairs in front of me.
"Sigurado ka? Gusto mong bigyan kita ng inspirasyon?" He whispered then lowered his eyes down to my lips. I was drawn into his dark-brown eyes like it was hypnotizing me.
Ugghh! It's been months, Bella! Besides, ikaw ang nagputol ng communication niyong dalawa. I stared at the unblock button on my phone. Napasabunot ako sa buhok nang makaramdam ako ng frustration. I also remembered Liam, serenading me in this very garden back to when he was courting me.
I can't help but cry. Miss na miss ko na siya. Mahal na mahal ko pa rin siya. I didn't even move on from him, not a single bit, but it looks like he did. Rumors between him and Lianne are still spreading like wildfire. Hindi man nila kinonfirm pero it feels like they're dating for real.
"Ganon nalang ba kabilis yon? Sobrang bilis ko naman palitan." Iyak ko. Hindi ko rin naman magawang magalit kasi ako ang nakipaghiwalay in the first place. "Ang sakit. Miss na miss na kita, sobra."
I can literally feel the pain in my heart. To be honest, nung nakipaghiwalay ako sa kanya, I waited for him to come. It might be stubborn of me pero I was hoping that he'll come to me and make everything better, but he didn't. Hindi siya dumating at hindi na siya dadating. Hindi ko alam kung gaano katagal ako umiyak sa garden namin.
"Iiyak ko na to lahat promise, para maubos na." sabi ko.
I was crying so bad when I saw a white handkerchief in front of me. I looked up and cried even harder. "I hope I'm not too late."
