Hunter:

Today's the day I've been waiting for. Today is the day I get my cast off. Thank. God. I seriously cannot wait to have my leg back. Grey's coming with me to my doctor's appointment even though I told her she didn't have to waste her time. In response she told me time spent with me is never wasted. It seriously surprised me whenever she said something like that about me. I wasn't used to having people say nice things about me, at least not since the accident.

Things have been going pretty well between Grey and me. It scared the hell out of me when she locked herself in the bathroom after we were kissing last week. She looked so scared and lost and it broke my heart to see her that way. I don't think she was scared of me though thankfully, I think something happened to Grey in her past that scarred her pretty badly. I knew what that was like so I promised myself I wouldn't rush her. I wanted to make her feel safe with me.

Grey and I are now currently on our way to the doctor's and we are sitting in the back seat of a cab, and I can't help but notice that Grey is a little jittery. I can't really blame her though because I'm jittery too. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable in a car again.

"So are you excited to get your leg back?" Grey asks me as she continues to jiggle her knee nervously.

"You have no idea" I tell her and she giggles. She seems to relax for a moment and I'm happy that I helped her but then she goes back to her nervous knee jiggling seconds later.

"We'll have to celebrate later" she says after a few moments and I think she is just trying to come up with small talk to distract herself, because Grey isn't usually one for idle chit chat. "If you're feeling up to it" she adds nervously.

"Definitely" I tell her and then I grab her hand and steady her knee.

"Sorry" she says as she smiles weakly at me. "I don't know why I'm so amped up."

I'm not sure I believe her but I don't call her on it. "It's okay" I tell her gently as I give her hand a reassuring squeeze.

We pull up to the hospital and I pay the driver and then Grey and I are on our way. I know where to go once we enter the building and so Grey follows closely behind me. Fortunately there are elevators so I don't have to brave the stairs.

"You know" Grey says smiling up at me. "Once we leave here stairs won't be such a feat anymore."

"You're right" I say smiling back at her as we enter the elevator. We are the only two people in the elevator and a part of me is thankful for this but another part of me isn't. I've always wondered what it would be like to have sex in an elevator and now that I was in here alone with Grey I was having all kinds of fantasies. I needed to stop.

Luckily the elevator ride only last about 30 seconds so I don't have any time to act on my fantasies. We exit and walk down the hall until we reach the room where we need to be. I open the door for Grey and we enter the waiting area and I hobble over to the receptionist to check in. I'm surprised when she remembers me.

"Yes of course" she says smiling when I give her my name. "You are looking so much better." She appraises my body in an appreciative way that actually makes me a little uncomfortable with Grey standing so close. She's an attractive woman with auburn hair and green eyes, and I figure she has to be in her late twenties. In a time before I met Grey I probably would have taken her into one of these rooms and fucked her, but things were different now.

"Yea thanks" I say trying to be polite as I offer her a tight smile.

"I'll call your name when the doctor's ready for you. Until then have a seat" she says and she somehow manages to make that sound flirtatious.
