Chapter Three

Lab partners

My little sister Mandy opened my door and jumped on my bed while I loaded my bags with my things for school. Her waist length hair bouncing as she jumped up down, her violet eyes like mine full of amusement as she watched me standing there following her movement.

"Are you going to work in the bakery later?" she asked, still jumping.

"I need to be there,  Mandy," I chuckled.  I knew why she asked me these, she would be there after school too, probably helping mom with the baking or she tasting every cupcakes.  We own a little cupcake shop around town and it wasn't that very busy every day. It's just there was an order and mom needed my help.

I beckoned Mandy to follow me downstairs, her hands encircling my waist, her face on the level of my lower ribs, she was inhaling my vanilla scent perfume.

Mom wasn't in the house anymore, she got up pretty early to start baking. My dad was still the counter checking the bills.

"Charles, come on, " I told him, interrupting his fixation on the television. "Dad! We're going now!" I yelled as I open the door.

"Bye kids!" he yelled back.

I let Charles drive this time and Mandy playing with the radio. The Disney anime movie Frozen's song was tuning in and little sister turned the volume up and sang along with it, making Charles scratch his head and threw Mandy a frown. He just doesn't like a girly song.

"Don't glare Charles I have taste in music compare to your rapping gibberish rap song," Mandy told him, smiling sweetly.

"Urgh lord why do I have a little brat for company? Her music tortures me!" he groaned as the singer sings Let it go....let it go...

"It's Summer's car you can always walk to school if you want to? Beside big sis in my side, right Sum?" she grinned.

I laughed at her and stuck my tongue at Charles who rolled his eyes.

We pulled off to school pretty early. Mandy and Charles darted in their respective class. I was taking my time walking to my locker. I had some homework there that is due tomorrow so I needed to work on that now while it's still early.

I opened my locker browsing over the stuffs inside when someone stood beside me, opening his locker. I wanted to ignore the person next to me but then his locker regurgitated several pieces of papers, different phone numbers written on it.

"Damn!" he cursed, picking the lot and threw it in his empty coffee cup.

I stared at him, couldn't really help myself when the guy was wearing a long sleeve midnight blue, gray pants and white sneakers. His long sleeves were push up on his elbow, the eyes bluer than ever and all of these screamed 'look at me'.

He returned my gazed, raising his eyebrows. "Hope you're not one of these girls desperate for me to call them, I'm throwing the cup away" he muttered and threw the cup containing the numbers straight to the garbage can.

Honestly that was like an amazing shot because the can was three meters away from us, with student passing by. But his deep arrogant tone was annoying. Yesterday he couldn’t make a conversation with me now the true color begins.

"Trust me I don't have any plans, so you can breathe" I snapped and walked away from him.

It doesn't mean you're new, handsome and had a hot body that every girl wanted to throw themselves at you like their idol or something. I'd seen enough celebrities in the television to gawk on.
