Chapter Twenty
Two Hundred Tickets
Trench and I definitely sort up our misunderstanding the next morning, talking random things and teasing each other. He was still too touchy whenever he was seated next to me. I swear I could just stab his hands for trailing along my thigh.
“What?” he always asked innocently but bumps his shoulder when I glared at him to stop distracting while I take note of the lesson.
“Will you stop distracting me?!” I hissed and hit his chest. The minute I did that, he caught it, gripped it tightly and never let it go until the bell rings. He only let it go when it’s time for me to pack my things. “You are so annoying you know that!” I snapped at him.
“I know right so give in so you won’t get bug by this hot gentleman” he mused.
I smacked his head with my bag. “I swear to god one more touching and I will leave you balless for the rest of your life.” My friends laugh at my fuming.
“And why will you do that when you love holding it?” he retorted.
“Ugh! Will you shut the hell up?!” I growled, hitting him again.
“You two why can’t you just use your cars and release the tension there” Marty suggested while Ivan throw Trench a condom.
I glower at her but Trench pulled my side and next thing I knew I was in front of his face, our forehead touching. “You want to follow her suggestion?” he murmured, almost brushing his lips on mine. I push him away.
“No” I snapped, calming myself. Jeez, why do I want to experience his gentle kiss again? That guy is such a pushy and a cheater!
“Tell me when you are ready then” he grinned and eyed my lips.
“Well lucky guy for being the only one who can kiss, Summer in that carnival” Hanley announces that made me snapped my attention at him.
“What did you say?” I clarified.
“He bought your tickets, Sum, mom was the organizer and told Mr. Graysten called to reserve those two hundred tickets with your name on it,” Hanley stated as we walk to the parking lot.
“And there are thirty second for every ticket, so we are so going to spend hours kissing” Trench announces happily.
I don’t know if I will be happy that one guy will be my kissing partner the whole day which saved me from random guys or pissed that he gets to take advantage of me again –okay that second reason was really wrong because I like what just happened to us few days ago. So why am I pissed exactly?
That’s when I realized I’m denying my feelings for him. I did really like him pretty much!
I didn’t have the effort speaking to him when that Amber girl inserted herself because I was pissed knowing he had exes not fling mate, but exes! And knowing they did more things was a letdown in my part. I know it was irrational because Trench and I were something but couple. Maybe my jealously was starting to inflate.
*****
It’s Saturday and I have to dress white like the others who will be in the kissing booth. I put on my white long sleeve shirt and wore my cream skirt. I put on my sneakers and walked out of my room with my hair dangling on my shoulder. My parents and my siblings were ready to go with boxes of cupcakes to be sold.
It was ten in the morning and a lot of people now were crowding in the park where the annual town carnival show is at. I had to tell my goodbyes at them as Mrs. Smith, Hanley’s mom beckoned me to go to my booth now. I walked in the red one, glimpsing at Erin, the school geek, and I was like gawking at her because she was stunning. Her thick glasses were now gone and her usually pony tailed brown hair was now waving elegantly. And she had like fifty guys lining up to kiss her. On her right booth was one blond cheerleader and Greg was eating her face. That jock!
