Chapter 58

I was watching her patiently listening to the three girls who were obviously taking a liking to unlucky me. I am so happily and proudly taken by Summer Welsh. The only girl who deserve me and who I deserve. Other than her? There's no chance in hell I'll be happy again.

Then a tiny figure just came out of nowhere and stared in my direction. Her face broke into an unmistakable glee. Her eyes, face and even the hair, everything about her looks like Summer. A tiny adorable version of her.

I couldn't return her smile, I was at the moment in the state of just scrutinizing this little girl.

"Hello," she thrilled. Her voice actually gave me shiver. This is just magical for me. The sight of her can put you into trance. I wonder why she affects me this much.

I looked at Summer for help. She needed to help me deal with her daughter who was giving me that expected look. My lady was watching me carefully, anticipating maybe any sign of mistreatment I'll show to her daughter. As if I could do that. Who would want to hurt a child? And this girl is the daughter of the love of my life. She would never forgive me if I do something stupid.

"Can I take your order?" her next word jolted me off my speechless state. This kid is so unbelievable. If I am not face to face with her, I would have thought a pre schooler was talking to me. Her sentence construction and pronunciation just blew off my seat.

"Uh..." the smartest response came out of my dry mouth. I'm so dumb, shit! "Ah yeah uh..." you can do better than that. Come on you are a CEO of a rising company. Your dad doesn't even know your mom already liquidate her whole richest to you and Tara.

She crunches her eyebrows together like she was talking to an incompetent person. Her purple eyes crinkles as they stared at me. It was the same whenever Summer wear that confuse look.

"I take some red velvet then," I smiled.

Her answering smile made me shudder. "I love that one," she grinned. "It is my favorite!"

"It's mine too," I couldn't help saying.

"Really you like it da-"

She was cut off by another familiar girl skipping inside the shop shouting, "Sum! I'm here! Nikki's mom gave me a ride home. We were dismissed earlier and I forgot my phone home. So.......where is Mi-" she trailed off when her eyes gaze at me. Her eyes looked like it will pop out of its sockets when they recognize me. Her mouth was hanging wide open.

"Deedee!" the little ran toward her. "You're here you're here. Come come look who came in the shop!" she tagged her hands repeatedly. "Deedee?" she mumbled when she finally saw her just standing there like she saw a ghost.

"Mandy come help me here," Summer piped up, alarmed of  Mandy for suddenly dropping by without caution.

"Yeah yeah sure, see later Myles," she crouched down and gave her squeeze. She threw me another curious eyes before joining Summer behind the counter. The two jumped into hissing bees conversation.

"I will get your order, okay" the lit-Myles says, her charming smile flick an automatic response from my lips.

"Thank you," I mumbled. I watch her approach the two whispering siblings, watched them crouch to her level and listen to what she was saying. I noticed Summer took Myles face whisper something to her, her lips barely moving. Myles nodded, seemed sad for something her mom says to her. Mandy handed Myles a small carrier basket with three red velvet cupcakes in it. Then the little girl came skipping in my direction, her bright smile didn't seem to waver despite what her mom says to her.
