Chapter Thirty Seven

Worst case scenario!

Oh god I am not yet ready to see her, since things aren't good with me and her brother. Speaking of him, he was one of the guys who stood beside her, the other is Rupert, ginger as ever. The three eyeing me from head to toe, perplex that I was wearing a waitress dress, thanks to her brother might I add. Nonetheless, I surely took them by surprise and they did the same to me. What on earth are they doing here? Why can't they just choose a fancy diner to sit in and eat? Why here, where I work?

"Damn, that is one hot mouthwatering chick," Kilt stated in trance. I didn't even notice he joined flocking my friends table too. But his uncivilized description of Tara was just inappropriate; I just hope Tara didn't hear it, since the supermodel can send someone into coma with just one powerful punch. She was lethal with her mad martial art skills.

"Hey dick that chick is Trench's sister you might want to wipe that drool off your chin buddy before you humiliate yourself" Hanley whispered at him, leering at Kilt's obviousness.

"And the guy on her left is her fiancé," I added in a murmur.

"Oh man...." he groaned, disappointed to know Tara was already taken. "She's a perfect ten and multiply that by ten again," he continued to comment.

"Summer," Tara greeted as she slowly walk toward me. She gave me a hug when I was in her arms reach. "How had you've been?" she asked, assessing me keenly. "I didn't know you are working here," added.

"I just started yesterday," I answered, ignoring the rest of her inquiries.

"Oh..." she trailed. Her eyes were full of questions she wanted to hurl at me right now, but thought not to seeing that we are surrounded by so many people.

"Ms. Graysten it's nice to see you here," Mr. Peterson greeted pleasantly with his white teeth full in display. "The VIP section is already reserved for you."

"Of course of course, Summer would you mind serving us?" Tara favored.

I didn't really have a chose here as Mr. Peterson gave me a death glare not to reject Tara's request. Technically, she is a very important customer here. It's not like I don't want to be the one serving her, my only problem was her brother who was still speechless seeing me here.

"Um no," I answered, my hands were shaking in stress.

"You can join us too if you mind, you don't mind letting her off early Mr. Peterson?" Tara asked.

"Really Tara I already had eaten," lies, I'm about to go for a break after Valerie, but I needed to escape this invitation before their dinner turns to an awkward one. "I'll be serving you though that's a guarantee," I added as an afterthought.

"Nonsense Ms. Welsh, you'll join them," Mr. Peterson butted in and threw me a pointed look.

"But I already ate," I gritted my teeth. Check your temper Summer, you don't want to be rude with the man who manages the dinner. You don't want him kicking you out, do you?

"Then eat again" Mr. Peterson insisted. "Ms. Graysten, follow me please" he beckoned and direct them in VIP area. I made eye contact with Trench, but drop it in second, my face supporting a scowl and frustration. God knows I wanted to bolt out of the restaurant and escape a conversation with Tara with her brother and fiancé listening.

"You'll survive sweety," Marty pitied me as soon as they saw my tragic face.

"Who's the tall yummy guy with blue eyes?" Valerie asked us.

"That's Summer's ex," Kilt replied nonchalantly beating us to reply to her.

"You let go of that I-so-wanted-to-do-any-kinky-things-to-him guy?" she gasped, like it was a crime to break up with a gorgeous guy. If only she knew what sorts of demon he was hiding under his sleeves. "Woah, girlie he must've done something massive if you look like you wanted to kill me now for praising the guy," she stammered, throwing me an apologetic smile. Indeed, I felt myself becoming livid hearing the admiration in her voice.
