Chapter Twenty Two

The cupcake girl, huh?

Yes, it’s been less than a week when Trench and I started dating exclusively. And bitter girls in school started eyeing murderously. Marty found it amusing that girls are just so pathetic when they get so jealous. Hanley on the other hand thought of me as the reserve one; reserve one who was saving everything about me to the right one; oh that was not normal coming from Hanley, a comment that Marty keeps whispering at me and laughed if Hanley caught us double teaming him. If I know Erin was making him this romantic guy. I heard he had a tattoo of a heart with Erin’s named across it and the word forever. Hahaha cheesy him but romantic at the same time.

Lucky them going about their business after class in the afternoon ends. Whereas for me, I had to go for my part time job in the shop. Trench was just too patient and encourages me to not let him be the reason for me to ditch helping my parents, I rolled my eye at him. Assuming he was using reverse psychology of course. But I just can’t really go with him whenever he wanted.

In exchange of my hectic schedules he gets to stay with us when dinner time comes; curfew around eleven –dad’s rules not mine. I would love for him to sleepover too since his house is off limits, but not going to happen when dad keeps throwing us a glare whenever he sees us do something he thought was too much. Over protective, yep that’s him.

Sometimes we drive for an hour after dinner, strolling the park and do the benefits of having an alone time which is kissing….a lot of it. We can’t go further from that though so we take the easiest one to do.

Sometimes I tried to ask about his dad but whenever I murmur it he will change the topic and insist for us to try something in the restaurant, ice cream area or find clothes he wanted me to try. I get so frustrated when he does this; it always leads me to silence whenever he refuses to answer my inquiries. I wanted to get mad at him to force him to tell the truth but the cheater is such a distraction whenever he will play his card ‘I will dance like Channing Tatum’ in front of you if you won’t drop the sulk. I thought he was just joking about it and we were like in the food court of the mall, so I was confident he hadn’t had the balls to do it. Oh boy was I so wrong, he took off his shirt –the yummy sight in full view, starts dancing and smiling at me evilly. I needed to stop him because a lot of females froze and eyed him eagerly. I’m too much territorial when it comes to sexiness.  I needed to protect it. Judge me all you want but he was mine. He told me I was the only one who can own him, so I guess I was doing a pretty good job hiding the yummiest from the others. I felt like a clinging first timer but I just really want him and no one else.

I sighed as I recall all of it. I was alone in the cupcake shop, relieving mom and dad because they've been beating themselves since dawn. It was a slow afternoon by the looks of it; I served the last customer coffee and cupcakes for the last thirty minutes and none follows after her.

I tapped my fingers on the counter, while popping my notes reading the my notes, exam is around the corner so I was beating myself cramming all my lessons inside my head. I looked up when the bell and door sound.

“What are you doing here?” I murmured to the approaching person; the smell of shower following his every stride.

“Accompanying you what else. Charles told me you will be here so I came” Trench chuckled, popping his elbows on the counter so that his face was in front of my face.

“Practice is over now? It’s not even seven” I told him, assessing his handsome face and his cobalt blue.

“Obviously it’s over, Sum, I wouldn't be here seeing my girlfriend if it isn't” he pointed out smartly. Oh you want to play that game.
