Chapter 90
Confettis blasting in front of the house greeted our arrival. The rest of the Welsh and Crevestovik gathered around together with our very close friends. All of this fuss just for the twins for finally home at last. We all waited for four months for this moment. Everyone gathered closer to touch and coo at the boys who didn't seem to appreciate the people pinching and kissing their cheeks. Distress from all the assaults around them, they let out a whimper and pouted their quivering lips in annoyance. This, however, just amused the eager people but thankfully gave the babies a wide berth.
"Aw let me carry this little purple eyed cutie," my mom requested, and without further ado she snatched Sage from my hesitant hands. I still want to hug and savor my baby. "You look like your dada, Sagie boo, but you have your mama's eyes."
"Mom, mom be careful taking my son from me, jeez you didn't even asked if you can take my baby," Trench had a difficult situation dealing with his mother like me.
"I know what I am doing, sweetie, I held you and your sister when you two were babies. I handled little Trey for few months too so my experience of taking babies is something to be boast about," my mother in law lashes out.
Trench scowled on that one.
Both boys blowing raspberry sounds while their tiny hands reached out to pull their grandmas' hairs. The grandfathers just settled themselves beside their respective wife. The aunts and uncles were waiting for their turn to carry the twins. Tara who was carrying her son came forward and let him touch the twins. It amazes us all when all of a sudden the three babies started babbling words we couldn't understand.
The babababa sound erupted and Trey was giggling at the twins. His two erupting front teeth came into view.
Rupert took out his phone and record this rare moment.
"They are talking?" Myles curious inquiries distract me from watching the little boys.
"Maybe, munchkins, we would never know," I hugged her tightly. If I can carry her I will, but my incision was preventing me to do that.
Trench must've heard what's inside my mind because he easily carried our daughter. "Happy now munchkins that your baby brothers are home?"
"Yep! We four will eat a lot of biscuits and play all day," she celebrated.
"Of course you will say that," her daddy chuckled, "you will be the best big sis right?"
"Yep," she answered while she reaches for her Tate's hand. He was at the moment trying to grasp the rubber toy his cousin Trey was holding.
"Can we please go inside now and continue this get together where food is in our midst?" Hanley's shameless request rang out. "Just got here from the uni so I am pretty ravenous." Erin threw him a look that says will-you-please-control-yourself.
"Of course the pig will say that," Marty snorted. Her baby bump is now visible.
Travis Crevestovik wasn't still used to people around him being this vulgar and mouthy. I can see his frown of disapproval at my friends' loud attitude. He wasn't commenting about it though, which was I think a great effort for him. I will applaud him for that one. This is a man who had grown up and been aristocrat for majority of his life. He lives with strict rules that most rich people approve. For him to be exposed with my friends light and joking aura is still very knew to my future father in law.
I know being with his granddaughter had tamed that strict personality of his. My daughter had been torturing her grandfather with her calm and cheerful attitude. This is why Trench and him was finally civil with each other. To be frank, they had both worked so hard handling our crisis against some of the Moores. This was their sort of bonding time. Weird may it sound, but yeah they are now talking without any kind of bitterness on them.
