Chapter Forty Five
Partings
Trench POV
Unusual thing happened this morning in our house. My father was supporting a satisfied smirk I so wanted to wipe off. Whatever gave him that look probably a result of a successful business transaction. I wonder what that transaction is.
My mother was in her laptop checking her small company she owned in town. It's not actually that small because it was the biggest business establishment here, but compare to my father's gigantic empire state, hers is minuscule in comparison.
"Honey, how's the transaction with Flick Moore?" the husband inquired. It's so easy to see mom is the nuisance weakness. He loved her more than he loved his children.
"He is still struggling to stabilize his appointed department, but my assistant is supervising him." Flick Moore. One of the douchebags that set me up on that bet that cause me dearly.
Mother didn't know I am giving him a hard time in the company. He and James are broke us hell. I hacked their bank account and generously donated it to charities. Serves them right.
And James. I wonder if he ever wakes up in his coma. I put the bastard there because of what he had done to me. Last time I check Amber too was out of the country, running away from me. My display of violence must've shaken that slut.
"You must not strain yourself from work." I rolled my eyes at the concern lacing in his voice. Gosh, this man is full of bull.
"I'm fine Travis. Trench, sweetie, where are you going?" mom asked when I stood up, not taking anymore bull crap from her husband.
"Drive around town" I mumbled.
"Talk to your mother properly young man!" ah the sperm donor finally revealed his nastiness. I wonder why mom can't just leave his sorry ass.
I sneered in his direction. "Oh you're there, thought you are just a nasty décor" I chuckled.
He had that superior smile I so wanted to erase by punching the living daylights off him. "One of these days my child, you'll come running to your father and begging his forgiveness."
I guffawed at him like he just lost his freaking balls –I mean mind. Where did he dig that thought from? I would never dream of crawling for forgiveness in front of him. Jeez, just the thought of it made me want to pull a trigger and blew off my brains to death.
He should be the one down on his knees begging my forgiveness, not the other way around.
"Let me know if hell turns to North Pole and I might give you one enlightening piece of mind, ya?" I bite.
"Oh I will" he smirked arrogantly.
I rolled my eyes at him before walking away from his disgusting face. I needed a good cheer today to recover from that very depressive conversation initiated by my mother's husband.
Summer's face flash in my mind, and I all but ran to my car to see her again. I got something really really big to tell her today. There's no time to wait, graduation is already several weeks from now. The thing I'm going to give her today would really give me assurance of our plans after high school. I already bought the perfect deal sealer, and I want her to have it.
Hey can we meet up in the park? - Sum
I was about to call her, but she contacted me first. I'm on my way
Damn, I couldn't wait to pop the question.
Already here – Sum
I grinned, someone needed me badly.
