His Smile

Work was absolute shit. Trying having a homophobic boss that hunts you down every time you mention your boyfriend to someone. They always say "stop distracting the other work employees with your disturbing lifestyle", right I'm the messed up one in this situation. Don't even get me started on how much work he gives me compared to everyone else, I know he hates me but jeez it's not affecting my work ethic or anything.

Just because of him now I'm in the worst mood I've ever been in. I've had that job for years and I'm finally fed up with it. So I quit. Man the look on his face was priceless- but I still can't forgive him for everything he put me through. I'm on my way home and I would be excited but Evan is with Alana for the day, which makes me left alone. Great.

I mumble as I try to unlock my door, of course the key decides to take its time. When it finally opens I walk in and close the door behind me as I kick off my shoes. I look up and from across the room I can see Evan.

He sees me but before I could even say or do anything, I say "don't do it, you better not do it." I grumble as I point at him, warning him. Then he does it anyway, he smiles. That amazing smile I get to see everyday, that smile that also makes me smile because I love him so much.

How could you not when Evan Hansen is smiling at you as he literally brightens up everything around you, including your pissed off mood. "Dammit Evan." I chuckle as I walk over to him and pull him into a soft kiss, happy to see him after the day I just had.

I love him and I will do whatever I have to, just to see that smile every day.
