"I'm going to kill that bastard if I ever see him."

"I know."

A few minutes go by and we just enjoy each other's comfort, sitting under a tree. A lot has happened in just a few days, like a lot. My life usually isn't so exciting, it's just depressing. Me eating cheap delivered pizza by myself in my room, staring at my laptop, still hoping that an imaginary friend will talk to me.

Yeah, depressing. But then Jared came in. Out of nowhere, my best friend for life stopped by. He could just be crashing for a while on the couch, or he could be moving in. Both are better than nothing.

"You okay now?" Jared rudely interrupted my thought process.

"Yeah, for the most part."

"Good because I'm starving." Oh yeah, I ruined dinner.

"Sorry."

"Stop apologizing and let's eat the food I made because I am NOT letting that go to waste." He says as he laughs.

"Okay Jared, okay." We're back to laughing again as we start to get up and walk towards the house. God I love whatever this is. I would say friendship but we basically almost did the do earlier so I don't know.

"Carry me." He does little grabby hands at me. That's adorable.

"What, no."

"Oh c'mon, I carried you to your house after you passed out and held you in my lap twice now. It's only fair."

"Fair point. Fine. Get on." I slightly crouch down in front of him.

"Yay." He jumps on my back and you get the drill. For just a few minutes, we're back to our usual comfortable silence. Another thing I love about our relationship, it's not awkward so we don't have to be constantly talking.

...

"Hey Jared?"

"Hm?" He asks as he lays his head on mine.

"What are we?" I have to get it straightened out (good luck with that).

"Oh, uhm..."

"Sorry, stupid question I know."

"No, I want to know too."

"Okay, well... we're two guys (gays), always together, one usually needs comfort and we already know who that is so we don't need to bring it up, and we almost 'did the do' once. And don't even forget you asking me out on a date that I say ended pretty well."

I could just feel the smile on his face, he's just so cute. "Yeah that pretty much sums it up." He responds while putting his head between my neck and shoulder.

"Don't even think about it."

"Fine." And he moves his head back. We both laugh.

"I'd say we're practically boyfriends, what about you?"

He doesn't respond for a second which worries me. It's almost certain he feels the same but c'mon, I basically confessed. You can't not be anxious.

"I'm thinking the same way."

"Hail yeah (it's from a YouTuber I watch but I doubt anyone here knows him)."

"So I can do this now?" He lowers his head again.

"Still a no."

"Rude."

"You're not biting my ear again! Deal with it."

"Okay jeez, when you think you know a guy."

"Obviously because you STALKED ME!"

"Okay, yeah, I did do that. But give me a break, you were like incredibly adorable and I couldn't take my eyes off of you."

"Wow."

"Sorry."

"I thought I was the one who apologizes?"

"Indeed you are."

"Okay get off." I stop walking.

"No."

"Get off."

"No."

"Get off."

"No."

"I will drop you."

"You wouldn't-" he's on the floor.

"I think I just did." I say while I turn around and stare at him on the ground.

"Goofball."

"Shut up."

"We're here."

"Wait seriously?"

"..."

"Evan?"

I used my hand to gesture that my lips were sealed.

"Okay, you can un-shut up now."

"Ha. Now get up."

"Fine. Help me up?" He puts his arm out.

"Okay." I grab his hand and pull him up, but I thought it would be fun to bring him close to me. Face inches apart. The look on his face is hilarious, he's so cute when he's flustered.

"You planned that didn't you?"

"You know it." And so I kiss him. Because he's my boyfriend and I want to. Now I can do this whenever I want.
