The picture has nothing to do with the story but I'm just excited.

Evan's POV

Jared should be over any minute. I invited him to hangout later after school, maybe a movie and if it gets too late he can just sleep over. I definitely didn't clean the living room 5 times or use half a roll of paper towels to dry off all the sweat from my nerves. I get nervous, no big deal, I don't embarrass myself like last time he came over… I'm going to embarrass myself.

Ha, what a great way to start a hangout. I probably triple checked the fridge for food Jared likes because I know he likes to snack on things while watching movies. I… may have noticed a few things about him, not in a stalker way! Like, for example, he hates cold ketchup when he has hot fries. And he loves his potatoes with just a pinch of salt with a drop of sour cream. And even he only likes taking walks when it's partly cloudy so the sun isn't burning his eyes and it has to be 60 to 70 degrees so it's not too hot to wear his favorite t-shirt.

Sorry, I'm rambling again. I do that a lot. Especially about Jared. You might know why. I can't help but smile whenever I think about him or just stare at his eyes when he's busy watching a movie. He's just, he's just, perfect. In a way. He acts like a dick to everyone but when you start to break down some of the walls he built, he's a softy. It's adorable sometimes when he tries to be mad at me, but he can't because his walls are already down. He doesn't mean it.

I get cut off from my thoughts when there's a knock at my door. I hope it's Jared, I don't exactly feel up to talking to anyone else. I go to open the door and it's Jared. I instantly smile and of course he returns one. He's been a lot more open with his feelings lately and I'm proud of him. Also, it's kind of cute. Shut up Evan.

"You going to let me in, Hansen?" Jared asks as he lets out a small laugh with a smirk on his face.

"U-uh yeah, c-come in." I mentally face palm that I'm still stuttering around him. I shouldn't still be doing this. I open the door a bit more and let him inside.

"You have Sprite right?" He asks as he walks towards the fridge.

"Y-yeah, bottom shelf. I k-knew you liked the-them so I bought a f-few." I replied as I started to set up the movie.

"Doritos?"

"Pantry. Popcorn is in the cabinet." I say that because I know he was going to ask.

"*makes an exaggerated gasp* you know me so well!" He put his hand over his chest with an obviously fake shocked expression on his face.

I love his acting, and he says he's not into theater but I always catch him watching mean girls or Heathers.

"I p-put in a movie, I think you'll l-like it."

"Cool, I'll start the popcorn while the previews play." He says as he struggles to open the popcorn.

"I-I can h-help.." I offer as I walk into the kitchen.

"No, I got it. Stupid plastic." He said the last part at almost a mumble. I can't help but laugh. Whenever Jared gets mad he gets all grumpy because of the littlest things but I'm sure the movie will cheer him up.

He still continues to fail at trying to open the bad. "You s-sure?" I ask with a breathy laugh.

"Yep. 100%," He says just a few seconds before totally giving up as he puts his hands on his hips,"you want something instead of popcorn?"

"I haaave-" I say as I walk over to the pantry to look for something else, "there's some chips ahoy, you want those?"

"Are they crunchy?"

"Why of course my good sir." I reply with a terrible accent.

"That would be much pleasurable if you brought thy to thy table."

"As you wish." I reply, desperately trying to hold back my laugh. As does Jared, I can just tell by his expression.

-Later because it's getting way too long-

Me and Jared are now sitting on the couch. Not too close but we have some distance. I'm nibbling on a cookie until Jared starts laughing.

"Are you a squirrel?" I look over and he's looking at the cookie that have the tiniest bite marks.

"Last time I checked, I get eaten by squirrels."

"So you ARE an acorn!"

"I immediately regret making that joke."

"C'monnnn. It was funny." He says as he starts laughing. I love his laugh. Just one chuckle is all it takes for me to fall deeper in love with him.

"Yeah I get it, we watching the movie or wha?"

"Yeah, yeah."

We start to lower our laughing and watch the movie in comfortable silence. Another thing I love about Jared, it's never awkward which is a life saver.

I look back at Jared who is busy watching, then I look at his hand. It's kind of close to mine. Should I go for it? I think I'm going to go for it. God I hope I don't embarrass myself.

I put my hand on top of his and… he doesn't do anything. Is that a good thing? I start to be a bit more forward and grip onto his hand. Not fully holding it but I hope that's enough hints for him to fully do it because I'm way too scared to continue.

And he does. He turns his hand around and laces our fingers. Oh my god I'm holding his hand. I want to scream. But I can't, I'll just squeal in my head. I bite my lip, trying to calm down but the huge smile on my face won't disappear.

We're both a bit flustered, me more than him but he is too. I want to kiss him so badly. Well, my first idea worked, maybe this will too.

I move closer to Jared and, and I'm going to sit on his lap. I'm nervous but I, I want to. So I do it. I'm sitting on his lap, still holding his hand. I stare into his eyes and he does the same. I think I surprised him but he keeps smiling.

Does he want the same thing I want? "J-Jared?" I say in barely a whisper, still anxious.

"Yes?" He responds with the same tone as me. Quiet, but clear.

"Can I, can i kiss you?" Here goes. I stare at his lips, then back at him.

He nods, while still holding eye contact. To do this right, I have to let go of his hand. I bring both of my hands around his face. I lean in. Our lips finally touch and he brings his hands to my waist, bringing me closer.

This is the best feeling in the world. I don't want to ever stop. It's perfect. Both of us are leaning into each other, pulling our bodies close as possible to fill any gap. I don't know how long it lasts but I love it.

As it gets more heated, I pull back. I want to save that for another time, to make it really special. I'm guessing he feels the same. We both just stare at each other with huge smiles planted on our lips.

"Wow.." is all I could say.

"Yeah." He responds.

"You want to do it again?"

"Hell yeah."
