I walked downstairs and looked around the dining room until my eyes met with my father. "Hey Nu.." He said.
"Who you snitch on?" I asked sitting down on the steps.
"Ion do no snitching, y'know det.." He said, I scoffed.
"You had to snitch because ain't no way they let you off of a murder charge." I said simply eyeing him.
"Well they did cause I ain't do it.." He said shrugging.
"And we are happy that he is home. Now our family is complete.." My mother spoke up, I scrunched my face up.
"No it's not, Mari ain't hea.." I said, she frowned.
"He's not in Houston either.." She said.
"You have his number. Call him or text him. Yah got stuff yah need to talk about. How we gonna be a family if you excluding your own child from it?" I asked.
"You just want drama Nu.." My father spoke up.
"No I want stuff to be right. You ain't been hea so you don't know nothing bout nothing that's going ahn but me and Ma know what's really going on.." I said staring at my mother. She know she dead wrong for turning her back on my brother.
"Who's this?" He asked looking at Mani who was coming downstairs in a bonnet. I shook my head.
"Our daughter.." My mother spoke up, he cheesed.
"Come hea and give me a hug.." He said, Mani walked down the steps and wrapped her arms around his waist. Mani hugged him and then went and hugged Ma.
"I'm so happy our family is finally all together.." My mother spoke again, I sucked my teeth and walked upstairs. This is not what I'm finna do. I'm not finna act like Mari don't exist. Our family is not all together without Mari, and that's simple.
"Where you going?" My father yelled.
"I'm leaving!" I yelled.
I walked into my room and closed my door. I sat down on my bed and unlocked my phone. I went to Kadar thread and sighed.
