Nuni sat on her bed with tears in her eyes as she stared at the floor in her funeral attire. She felt so broken inside. She knew she was having a baby and that was suppose to bring her joy but she didn't feel nothing but the constant pain. Her body ached at the beat of her heart.

"Nuni, baby?" Her mother called out walking in the room. "Are you ready to go?" She asked looking down at her daughter who was sitting on the bed staring down.

Nuni nodded and stood up. They started walking out the house and got into the car. Mani and Nuni sat in the back of the car with shades on. Nuni touched her stomach and looked out the window.

Everyone knew she was pregnant, she couldn't  really hide it from anyone any more. She had to say something, the only person who didn't know was Kadar. She had been dodging his calls since she found out about the death of Nyla.

"Damn, A nigga hate funerals.." Jahi said shaking his head. "And babies.." He added.

He was a little salty about her being pregnant. He didn't like it all. He felt like she had her whole life to live and she was throwing it away waiting for Kadar and having his baby when it really was deeper than that.

"Jahi, shut the fuck up.." Nubia snapped.

"Shit, I'm just saying. Why a baby? You should've been good with the damn dog.." He said, Nubia looked at her husband in disgust.

"Your daughter is going through a hard time. She just lost her bestfriend who was more like family and you wanna shit talk her about bullshit?" Nubia said.

"Man, I'm just saying.." He said, Nuni sighed.

"Daddy.." She called out as they pulled up at the church where the funeral was being held.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Fuck you.." Nuni said before getting out the car and walking towards the church.

Jahi looked back in shock and then looked at Mani. "What I do?" Jahi asked shaking his head. Mani shook her head and got out the car and followed Nuni. "You see that?" He asked looking at Nubia.

"You were being a ass.." She said shrugging.

Nuni walked into the church and looked around. She noticed Beetle sitting in the front row staring at the open casket that held Nyla in it. He was in disbelief that his girl was dead and he wasn't. He wanted to be the one to protect her and take care of her but instead he was out doing shit that Nyla practically begged him to stop doing.

He also couldn't believe he had to raise Brenden alone. His first child came from Nyla, everytime he looked at his son all he saw was Nyla and that brought more pain to him. He didn't cry. He didn't make a big scene. He didn't speak to anyone. He just sat there.

Nuni walked down the isle and sat down next to Beetle. She leaned her head on his shoulder as she stared at Nyla's body. She had on a white gown. Her makeup was done lightly and she had her hands folded over her stomach.

Mani came and sat down next to Nuni and started breaking down crying. Nuni was so focused on her own pain and the fact she couldn't feel her body that she didn't comfort her sister, she just stared at Nyla.

The funeral began to start. The church had filled up. Nyla's mother rolled down the isle and sat in the front along with the rest of Nyla's close family. Beetle held Brenden in his lap but barely even paid him any mind, he couldn't stop looking at Nyla.

Nubia noticed Brenden sliding out of Beetle's lap so she rushed over and picked Brenden up and grabbed his baby bag. "Beetle, I got the baby.." She said, Beetle never responded he just continued staring at Nyla.
