Chapter 4

Jonny's-POV----------------------------------

I just got out of a San Fernando Valley cab about to walk into The one place I thought I would never walk into, the LaRusso dickhead shop. I wouldn't even have to be here in those stupid kids who hadn't run into my car while it was parked. I put on my shades so hopefully, if he was here he would not recognize me. I walked into the building that smelled like a forest to see it was really busy with customers. Then out of nowhere, A guy that looked like he worked there stopped me from walking. "Hi sir would you be interested in-" "No," I said walking around him in a hurry. When I got up there I was waiting in line until I was next. "Hi welcome to LaRusso how can I help you," the front desk lady asked. "Hi I'm here to pick up my car," I said unfolding the paper that the tow truck guy gave me last night. I then handed her the paper expecting her to give me my car but all I got in return was a frown. "Oh this came in last night it's going to be at least a couple of weeks, but will call you with the estimate," she said. I then turned to her taking off my sunglasses. "No no no my car was not supposed to come here, okay I want to tow to a different body shop," I said frantically. "Why," she asked with a smile on her face. "We have the number one service team in all the valley we beat our prices kick the competition," she said. "Yeah yeah I heard it a million times I just prefer to do my business elsewhere, "I said getting annoyed. Her smile deflated as she realized she was never going to win the conversation. As I was waiting for her to say something I heard a conversation going on right behind me. At the end of the conversation, the salesman said something that made me want to get out of here even quicker.

"before you go Mr. Lorusso wanted to thank you personally". My head then snapped back to the woman "can you hurry up I got to go"I said rushing her. "Hold on, it says your car is in one of our intake locks, I'll just figure out which one," she said. "You know what I'll come back tomorrow," I said putting back on the sunglasses and walking away. "But sir I-" I was speed walking towards the door and I was almost home free until I heard a voice call after me. I turned around to see you is none other but Daniel LaRusso himself standing in my presence. I sighed and slowly turned around. "Johnny Lawrence I thought that was you," he said walking towards me. when he finally got to me he engulfed me and a big hug which I did not return. "Hey man," I said awkwardly while putting on a fake smile. he let me go to look at me. "I mean look at you you still got those golden locks, eh," he said with a big smile on his face. "Got this is crazy, how have you been," he asked. "I've been fine man thanks for asking," I said. "That's great, hey hey Anoush come here Loui get over here I want you to meet somebody," he said calling over people. I didn't realize what was going on and started to make my way towards the doors. "I got to go," I said trying to leave "no no no no," he said grabbing me back. Then two guys came to his side I was guessing was Anoush and Loui. "This is Johnny Lawrence, he and I go way back right buddy," he said. I just remain silent still trying to slip away. "This guy was the toughest dude in my high school when I first moved here from Jersey he and I.... We got into it a little bit," he said telling the story. He said. "This guy really had it in for me" he finished. "That's because you were moving in on my girl," I said angrily. "Well she actually wasn't your girl anymore," he said it back.

I can feel the air around the starting to get tense. "Ah, all right that's all water under the bridge," he said shaking his head. "Wait is this the karate guy from the tournament," Anoush said. "Oh this is the guy who's an ass you kicked," he said laughing. I started to control my anger afraid of what will happen if I let it out. "Look it was a really close match," Daniel said trying not to make me feel bad until he said. "but if you want to get technical I kicked his face I'm just busting your chops," he said before they started laughing at me. "It was an illegal kick," I said in a low voice. "oh and legal really come on what about the elbow to my knee," he said. "Yeah I got a warning you got the win," I said in a pissed tone. "Whoa whoa whoa no fighting in the showroom guys," one of his friends said separating us. They then left to work wow it gave me and Daniel some time to talk.

"So what brings you in looking for a new ride," he said enthusiastically. Then the desk woman came up to the both of us and spoke for me. "he wants his car towed to a different body shop" I was shaking my head in a way, Lord Manor, hoping the day couldn't get worse. "Oh no no no Johnny we got the best prices in town, that crook at Kohl's on Van Nuys he's going to try to screw you over," he said. He then took the pad away from the woman letting her walk away and looked over the estimate. "Pontiac firebird, wow somebody did a real number on this thing," he said. "Maybe it's time for an upgrade why don't we walk the lot I could give you a great deal on a certified pre-owned-" "I just want my car, "I said cutting them him off. "All right, all right you got it to let me see how long can I get this repaired," he said in defeat. he looked at it for a couple of seconds named closed is booked and turn. "You know what it's on the house," he said. "No way man,  I don't need your charity," I said. "No no no you've been doing me a huge favor, our guys aren't used to working on a car like this they could use the experience," he said not backing down.

"I said I'll handle it," I said while raising my voice. "Okay but John, is it going to cost more than the car is worth," he said. I sighed because I already knew I wouldn't be able to pay it being how I just got fired from my job. "Listen don't worry about it John it's my pleasure all right" I only nodded in agreement as a response. "Just hang here for a second. I got you something for you" he said walking away. As he was walking away a girl walked up to him and hugged him. I didn't realize there was one of those same girls that crashed into my car that night. "You got to be kidding me, "I said starting to feel my anger building back up. I then started walking out the door of the building and that's when I heard him call after me. I turned around and he was holding a little tree that he had shown in his commercial. "Every customer gets one, and hey I don't blame you for what happened back in the day all right, I know that wasn't you, it was Cobra Kai, we're all better off without it am I right," he said pissing me off. "All right take care of yourself and I'll call you when the car is ready okay," he said putting me on my shoulder. The whole encounter was like a nightmare come true. I walked out of the building seething with anger. I then realized I was still holding his stupid bonsai tree and dropped it to the ground.

Time-skip-Carlos-POV-----------------------

Me and Miguel were taking out the trash and Miguel still hadn't said a word to me since our encounter with Mr. Lawrence. I shook my head tired of this silent treatment and finally caved in. "Look I'm sorry ok," I said. "what are you talking about," he said not looking at me. "sorry for saying I don't want you getting hurt" "yeah how do you think I feel every since when you get hurt," he said. "I know and it wasn't right for me to baby you," I said. I sighed and stuck out my hand hoping he would accept it. And then felt his hand in my own. I looked at him and we both had a big grin on our faces. I then pulled you into a hug. "You drive me crazy kid you know that," I said. We both broke away from the hubs and turned around to walk right into Mr. Lawrence. "Are you sure you two are ready l, cuz once you go down this path there's no turning back" he asked. "No what are you talking about," I asked confused. "You're going to be our karate teacher," Miguel asked excitedly. "No I'm going to be you guys is Sensei," he said back. I turn to Miguel who to see he had a big grin on his face. And that's when I knew this is something he needed.  "I'm going to teach you this style of karate that was taught to me, a method of fighting your pussy generation desperately needs. I'm not just going to teach you how to conquer your, I'm going to teach you how to awaken the snake inside of you. And once you do that you'll be the one who's feared. You'll build strength. You'll Learn discipline. And when the time is right you'll strike back".
