I and Miguel were finishing up what's the dirty mats that were on the ground when we heard the door chimes jingle. We looked over and in came Sensei Lawrence with some groceries and appliances for the dojo. "Looking good you two, make sure you get both sides," he said. "Yes sensei, "I said unenthusiastically. "Yeah and then you guys can take care of these exposed wires, that's going to be a lot of work," Sensei said before walking into the back. "What does any of this have to do with karate Sensei" Miguel asked. "Do not question my methods" he said walking over to us. "Just be thankful you're not a sumo wrestler those guys have to wipe their sensei's asses," he said before flicking the beer cap into a trash can. Miguel and I both walked over to the boxes full of karate trophies. "So sensei you were a karate champion Sensei," Miguel said.

"You don't have to call me Sensei every time," he said. "sorry sensei," we both said. He looked at us and just went along with it as he knew it was never going to change. "And yeah I won a couple of all valley tournaments didn't lose a single point in my junior year," he said. "What happened in your senior year," I asked with my arms crossed. He looked at me with a little bit of sorrow in his eyes and decided to change the topic. "What is this, 20 questions get back to scrubbing the both of you," he said. As we were walking over to the dirty Matt's Miguel's phone start going off. "What the hell is that garbage coming from, "Sensei asked looking around the room. Miguel took out the phone to see that it was our mom and answered it immediately. "Hey, yeah the debate is running a little late," he said. "What the hell are you talking about," I said mouthing the but Miguel just waved me off. And in return, I gave him the finger. "Okay love you too bye," Miguel said hanging up the phone. "Don't tell me you have a girlfriend" Sensei said.

The words that came out of sensei's mouth had me laughing hysterically and I received a punch in the arm from Miguel. "No it was from our mom," I said. "Yeah and I might have told her tiny lie saying we joined the debate team," he said. "What I thought you said that you actually told her," I said. "Yeah that might have been a teeny lie to," he said. "Oh, we are fucked"I said. "Did you actually think I could tell her she doesn't even approve of violence?" Miguel said. "Yeah, but what about your dad are they okay with you two getting your ass kicked," he said. "Well for 1 same mom different dads but both are still assholes. And 2 pretty sure they don't care" I said with venom. It was an awkward feeling in the air after that until Sensei Lawrence spoke up again. "All right quit standing there get back to training," he said. "Yes sensei," we both said. "In change, the ringtone gets some guns n roses or something," he said. "What's guns n roses," Miguel asked. "I'm going to pretend you didn't just say that," Sensei said before leaving.

The first day of school, usually it sucks but  Miguel and I have been keeping close to each other so we don't make any mistakes. But it's lunchtime now so hopefully, we get a chance to actually relax. we walked into the cafeteria with our trays in our hands looking around for anybody that will actually let us sit down without being a dick. I look to the right to see kids who are trying to Jack the vending machine and shook my head no. I look to my left to see two guys sitting at a table alone 1 hair dark hair and brown eyes. While the other had light brownish hair with blue eyes and a scar over his nose. "Hey, can we sit here," I asked. "Oh sorry table is really blowing up right now I can put you on the waitlist, but it's probably next semester at the earliest," he said making the boy next to him laugh. "Okay," Miguel said about to walk off. but I grabbed him by the back of his collar and made him take a seat. "Why do you always do that?" he asked me. "Because you do dumb stuff," I said giving a smirk. "yeah dude I'm kidding" the kid with dark hair said. "I'm Carlos and this is my brother Miguel, "I said giving them a smile. "Dimitri and this is Eli," he said pointing to the light brownish haired boy. "He's a man of few words," Dimitri said.

As we were about to dig in into our food two girls walk right past us. A blonde in a yellow outfit along with a girl wearing a blue jean jacket and dark brown hair. "Don't torture yourself, those are rich girls," he said. The girls then sat right next to a girl with a red outfit and light brown. I looked at the girl and the red and she stared right back at you. The gays were intense between us until I heard Miguel speak up snapping me back to reality. "You guys ever talk to them" "Oh yeah all the time we hang out after school makes out, give each other hand jobs," Dimitri said sarcastically. "And Eli here is the homecoming queen gets laid more than anyone is that right you lie," he said making his friend smile. "But for real talk to them, you do realize what table you're sitting at right you pretty much signed away all of your promises of losing your virginity before college," he said.
