I sighed before softly knocked on the apartment door. I looked at the bag of groceries and my hand to make sure nothing spilled. I heard the chain come off and the door sprung open to reveal a very confused Robby Keene. "Carlos". "Hey little boy blonde we got to talk," I said before stepping inside. I tried to flick on the light to see they had cut the power off. "How long," I said. "two days tops," he said. "And where is she now". "Mexico," he said sadly. "Have you eating anything". "I just ran out of milk". "it's a good thing I got you covered, "I said before setting the bags of groceries on the table. I open the bags to reveal Milk, Ramen Noodles, Bread, Pop-Tarts, Bottles of water, batteries for flashlights, and some Uno cards. "Why are you here and how did you even find me," he asked. "Well I'm here because I'm your friend and I found you because Sam is a great friend," I said. "Did you tell anybody else?" he asked. "No I came over right away, but you know who you should tell," I said "who". "You really have to ask, "I said.

 "I'm not going to him, "He said in a firm tone "Robby this isn't about you and your dad this is about you actually being able to live" "I don't need his help," he said. "Dude you can't live like this dark in here by the time you finally come out you're going to look like a vampire," I said. "about the pins are you talking about a twilight vampire or vampire diaries vampire," he asked. I chuckled to him before pulling him into a bro hug. We broke apart and he looked at me with a serious face. "But please don't tell him"He begged. I ran a hand through my hair. "What a drag fine I won't tell him but you at least should tell Mr. LaRusso," I said. "No, not him either he's already done so much for me I don't want to feel like a charity case," he said. "Um Robby, look around bro you already are," I said bluntly. He gave me a look that made me groan. "Fine, there's not much we can really do so I brought UNO cards," I said. "Dude you don't have to stay," he said. "Robby I'm staying all night and all day if I have to" I stated. "What about your mom," he asked. "I did not think about that," I said awkwardly.

30 minutes passed of us laughing and talking like old times. Robby had a stack of cards in his hand while I worked down to my last two. "Uno," I said smiling while putting my card down. "Looks like we all know who's going to win this match boy blonde," I said. "Not so fast," he said. "what are you talking about," I asked. He smiled deviously at his cards and back at me. "Draw four, draw four change the color to Red, draw two, draw two, draw two, draw two, draw two skip you, skip you again Uno and Uno out" I sat there shocked barely able to comprehend what just happened. "You son of a bitch" I said. He was laughing up a storm until we heard a knock at the door. Robby went to the door to answer it in a reveal no one else but Daniel LaRusso himself. "Hey, Robby," he said. "hey," Robby said before taking the chain off the door "Mr. LaRusso what are you doing here," he asked. "Well I can lie and say I was in the neighborhood is your mom home," he asked. "Robby looked down sadly" which made me hop up from my seat. "Carlos you're here too," he said surprised. "You're not the only one Sam told and he wouldn't let me tell you so I offered to stay here with him," I said. I just nodded before saying "hey it's okay, ok". Robby just gave him a half-smile. "Well all right I'm going to take him to my house Carlos you can go back home now," he said. "Not a chance in hell and before you two be like some "oh you don't trust me" and everything I trust you I do it's just I'm probably not going to give any sleep if I just let him go so I'm going to follow you on my bike," I said smiling.

When we got to Mr. LaRusso's house he found a room for him in the back while he and Sam ate some spaghetti in the kitchen. "Oh the poor thing I can't believe he's been living by himself" "okay don't ever do that in front of him he hates being pitied," I said. "Yeah well we have space he can stay here for the time being if there's an air mattress in the back until we get some real furniture-" "All right all right slow down slow down yes obviously he can stay here tonight but if we're talking long term we have to talk to his parents," she said "Well I tried calling his mother she's completely unreachable," Mr. LaRusso said. "You're not going to be able to get a hold of his mom" I simply stated. "And why is that" Mrs. LaRusso asked. "His mom is an alcoholic and currently right now she is in Mexico with some guy so like I said you're not going to be able to get a hold of her" I stated. "He has a father," Mrs. LaRusso said. Mr. LaRusso sighed in irritation before looking back at us. "Look I know how you feel about my sensei and I know how my Sensei feels about you you too like hate each other's guts" "we don't hate each other's guts," he said.

 "ah shut up and let me finish, the reason why I'm here with you tonight is that you're not a bad guy. And although you think Johnny's a bad guy he's not he's actually a really good guy I trust both of you. So if things don't work out with Johnny I need you to make sure that he stays here" I said. "You would go behind your sensei's back just to protect Robby" Mrs. LaRusso. "To protect my family you bet your ass because that kid in there he is my family now I'm trusting you to do the right thing," I said. Mrs. LaRusso was teary-eyed from my speech which made me roll my eyes. "Well it's getting late I'm going to go home go to bed," I said stretching "Are you sure you don't want one of us to drive you home," she asked. "No, I drove on the bike to Robby's house one-handed I drove to this house one-handed and now I'm going to go home driving one-handed, "I said. "Oh okay we'll see you later," she said "yep bye guys thanks for the bike, yo Robby "I called out grabbing his attention. "Yeah," he said back " Be on your best behavior," I said. He and Sam both left before I walked out the door and left. And with that finally over I put on my helmet and started my bike and drove home.
