For some reason for practice today since they had taken us to a junkyard. We were all standing in front of Sensei while he was on a van drinking a beer. "You trained hard. You have gotten stronger, tougher, faster, you've done your best you're ready for this tournament right" He asked taking a drink. "YES SENSEI" we are shouted. "Wrong," Sensei said before slamming his beer on the ground at us. "Great now I'm going to smell like beer," I said in my thoughts. "Your best ain't shit, if you want to win the all valley under 18 karate tournament, you got to give me better than your best which is why from now on you're going to get my worst," he said pacing back and forth on the van do you understand. "YES SENSEI" we shouted. "Are you losers?" he asked. "NO SENSEI" we shouted again. "are you nerds," he asked. "NO SENSEI". "are you sure". "NO SENSEI" everyone shouted except for me. I leaned over and laughed as sensei shook his head.

He then started us with drills. Everybody had to run through the tires as fast they could without falling. "Get those legs up as fast as you can," he ordered. It was going perfectly until Aisha fell and the rest feel like Dominos. He then gave us a bunch of old pipes crowbars and poles along with safety gloves and glasses. "Your enemies are all around you, destroy them," he said smiling. I had to gigantic smile as everybody started smashing cars and doors. At one point Miguel Hawk and I had thrown a door off of a building and watched it as it hit the car. Miguel was ecstatic as he tried to jump on my back which made me laugh. After the destruction he made us walk over a dumpster filled with glass and sharp metals objects. "Come on princess let's go, move that ass," he said. "There's nothing to fear except for fear itself," he said. "Well except falling into a giant dumpster full of sharp metal and broken glass," I said to myself.

For the final test since I had a bunch of beef jerky in his hand. "You want to win you got to be hungry," he said handing us pieces of beef jerky. "You guys hungry," he asked us. Everybody shook their head yes which made him a smile. "Good, so are they," he said before blowing a whistle. Then looked at them more closely before I said: "Is that a dog whistle"I asked confused. As soon as I said those words we started hearing barking. We all turned around to see four different dogs running full speed at us. "Oh" "Shit," I said finishing Aisha's sentence. Everybody scrambled away to higher places. I saw Miguel scramble on top of a truck as the others run away to another truck and looked around to see a dog was right on Hawks trail. but before the dog could bite into him I grabbed the Hawks arm and pulled them up. "Thanks, man," he said breathing heavily. "Don't mention it" I said. "Oh come on Wolf why'd you take the fun out of it" sensei called out. In return, I looked at him and flipped him off. He smiled at me before flipping me off too.

Miguel and I were at the dojo in our gis punching the dummies. Right, left, elbow those were the only things I was going through in my mind until we heard sensei's voice ring out. "Why are we the only two here, sensei," Miguel asked. "Because let's face it you two are the only chance I got at winning this thing," he said. "So what we're your best students," I said smiling. "Don't flatter yourselves, have you seen the others?" he said. Miguel got a text and he walked over to his bag and took out his phone. He started checking to himself which made me roll my eyes. "What's so funny," Sensei asked. "It's nothing it's something from his girlfriend," I said. "Wait a second" Sensei said before snatching Miguel's phone away. "Is that Daniel Larusso's daughter?" he asked. "Yeah, why, "I asked curiously. "You're dating a LaRusso," Sensei asked Miguel. "Yeah why is something wrong," Miguel asked. "We need to talk," he said.

Miguel and I both hurried up and got dressed sensei was waiting for us outside. We both sat down and waited for Sensei to start talking. "It was the summer of 82, Rocky III had just come out my buddy Dutch was a huge Mr. T fan so we went to the local theater to check it out. Sitting in front of us was this a group of cute chicks eating popcorn" he said. I took a swig of my soda before he continued. "Dutch started throwing milk dogs at them," he said. "Wh-- What, why would he do that"Miguel asked. "Because it's an alpha move man babe's love it when you treat them like crap," he said. "They sure as hell don't now," I said to myself. "Anyway eventually the girls got so pissed off that one of them stood up and started yelling at us, that's when I saw her for the first time," he said. "Saw who," I asked. "Ali" sensei said smiling to himself. "She dumped popcorn all over Dutch got butter all over him," sensei said making us laugh. "I could tell right away man this chick was a firecracker," he said. "so did you ask her out," I asked.

"Yeah man, I hit on a few times till she gave me a chance," he said happily. "We went to golf and stuff for our first date. Kiss on the Ferris wheel, we were madly in love for 2 years, for Valentine's day instead of rings I gave her this pink jelly bracelet" he said. He then reached to his back pocket and suck out his black headband. "And she gave me this," he said smiling. "That sounds nice," I said. "Yeah it was but summer will form my senior year we got into a fight, I figured we'd work things out eventually. But then Daniel LaRusso came to town" he said. "Next thing you know I see him hitting on her, I see the two of them flirting with each other," He said angrily. What did you do" Miguel asked with a serious tone? "Well I walked over to have a civil conversation with Ali, but Larusso kept butting in, I told him to get lost mind your own business, and then out of the nowhere the guy sucker punches me," he said. "What an asshole" Miguel and I said simultaneously. "I know right, I did what any dude would do I defended myself," he said. "Serves him right," I said. "I figured that was the end of that but he wouldn't just leave it alone, at the Halloween dance I was sitting there minding my own business he douses me with the water hose," he said.

"What why would he do that" Miguel asked. "I don't know why I haven't seen the freaking guy in months and he turns the water hose on my head," he said pissed. "so I chase them down try to put the end of things that night, turns out the guys got a karate master of his own guy comes out of nowhere jumps us assault me and my friends," he said. "Pussy" I said angrily. "I think my buddy Tommy got brain damage cuz of that fight". "Oh my God" Miguel said shocked. "Eventually we decided to work things out at the all valley tournament," he said breathing heavily. "What happened," I asked. "So we both made it to the finals and it's two to two..." there was a long pause which made Miguel and I frantic. "So what happened who won," Miguel asked. "Larusso won, I lost, but what was worse was I lost Ali," he said. "Yeah," Miguel said sadly. "All right the reason I'm telling you guys all this is that you got to watch out for the LaRussos," he said. "We will," I said giving him a small smile.
